Here's a portion of the lyrics. If you understand any of the lyrics, please post them
I asked my teacher to tell me how to reach my ultimate goal what’s the secret to get into kensho he said go wash your bowl
I complained that my knees were aching underneath my robe of grey he just looked at me and said body and mind have fallen away
This robe is kind of hot in the summer he told me just wear it I memorized all the sutras and all he said there is no merit
So what’s the deal with all this chanting it sure don’t get my vote I don’t understand Japanese it might just sound like I’m on coke
I did my summer training and I slept upon the floor I tried to show compassion to even those who snore
I wrote a bunch of Haiku read books that are really thick I dashed up to the monitor and he whacked with the stick
