Yorkeys Knob - Day Trip in Cairns City, lagoon swim, Esplanade jog. #miike2000 Sony Action Cam
My day in Cairns started with a short tender ride from the ship to Yorkeys Knob. Then a bus ride to Cairns City. After a walk around my old stomping ground and familiarising myself with the area, it was time for a jog along the new Esplanade. What a wonderful jog it was, Beautiful green parks, work out stations, kids play areas, skateboard park and more. The old trees provide much needed shade along the way, they even have a dedicated cycle track which is a safe idea. I finished off the day with a swim in the lagoon before taking the bus back. Yorkeys Knob is one of the beach suburbs of Cairns, in Cairns Region, Far North Queensland, Australia. It is approximately 13 kilometres (8.1 mi) north of the centre of Cairns, and is the third beach suburb after Machans Beach and Holloways Beach.
