Yoshikien Garden, Nara ???? Japan As It Truly Is
Yoshikien (吉城園) is a delightful traditional garden by Nara Park that few in the tourist stampede to Todaiji Temple venture to discover.
Within Yoshikien are 3 distinct gardens - a moss garden, a pond garden, and a flower garden for tea ceremonies.
The entrance fee is waived for foreign tourists.
Yoshiki-en offers a very serene atmosphere and offers a quiet place to relax and take a break after rushing to all the Nara sights. Yoshikien is often combined with another garden visit nearby, the Isuien Garden.

Yoshikien (吉城園) is a pleasant Japanese garden located in central Nara. It is named after the Yoshikigawa River, a small river that runs beside the garden, and was built on the site of Kofukuji Temple's former priest residences. The entry fee to the garden is waived for foreign tourists.
There are three unique gardens within Yoshikien: a pond garden, a moss garden and a tea ceremony garden. So, a visit to Yoshikien provides the opportunity to see three different variations of Japanese gardens in one spot. If visitors still want to see more techniques of Japanese gardening, the Isuien Garden is located just across the small river.

Země vycházejícího slunce poprvé. |Japan - Mt. Fuji, Kyoto & Nara|
První díl z našeho zatím nejdelšího výletu po Japonsku. Naše zastávky byly:
MT. FUJI
Poprvé hora Fudži vybuchla někdy před 8–10 tisíci lety a naposledy soptila v roce 1707. Tehdy sopečný prach pokryl i více než sto kilometrů vzdálené město Edo, dnešní Tokio.
Trek: Subashiri trail (ke konci i Yoshida trail)
Délka: 6,8 km
Náš čas: 4h30min (bez pauzy na spaní)
Vstupné: 1000 yen (dobrovolné)
KYOTO
nenaštívili jsme - Katsura Imperial Villa, Saiho-ji, Ninnaji
Kodaiji temple
Yasaka shrine
Gion - V uličce Šimbaši se nachází mnoho tradičních čajoven, kde gejši nadále dělají společnost politikům, ředitelům různých společností a jiným osobám.
Nishiki market - trh
Poté založil císař nové, a potom známé Kyoto.
Todaiji temple - Kolem roku 740 lidé v Japonsku trpěli souběhem přírodních katastrof a epidemií. Císař Šómu vydal nařízení o stavbě velké sochy, která měla pomoci. Spotřeboval většinu japonské produkce Bronzu za několik let a nechal zemi na pokraji bankrotu.

Isuien Garden, Nara ✿ 奈良市 依水園 ✿ Japan As It Truly Is
Just a stone's throw from the Nara Great Buddha, Isuien is a gem ready for discovery. Come see what the tourist hordes miss.
The land was once a sub-temple of the Kofukuji, and from 1670 was used as a home of a wealthy tanner. The eastern garden (seen first) is the oldest, and the western garden with the Nandaimon Gate and Nara hills in the background, was created in 1899. Nearby is also the Yoshikien Garden, which is also worth seeing.
Isuien has a rather pricey entrance fee of 900 yen, but Yoshikien is free for foreign tourists, so if you see both Japanese gardens, it does all balance out.
The garden is open 9:30 AM to 4:30 PM (last entry 4 PM).
Open daily in April, May, October & November, otherwise closed on Tuesdays. If Tuesday is a national holiday, then closed on Wednesday.

Nara Japan | Deer Park | Tips and Guide | Japan Vlog
Nara Japan | Deer Park | Tips and Guide
Come join us for this Nara Travel Tour as we visit on a day trip from Osaka where we walked on parks and fed the bowing Deers and of course more Japan Temples.
Nara is much colder this season (December) compared to Tokyo. Maybe because it is more remote and most of the trees here are still untouched. One of the highlights for us was meeting the bowing deer of Nara park where you have the opportunity to feed them deer crackers. If you bow before feeding the deer the crackers they will bow in return with a cracker as a reward. Some of the temples and gardens we visited in Nara were simply incredible. It is postcard perfect Japan in many ways.
Things to do in Nara, Japan Travel Guide + Nara Street Food: (Some we didn't do but we will post it here for your convenience and guide.)
1) Train from Nipponbashi in Osaka on the Kintetsu line to Nara for 560 Yen per person

Support our channel :
Isuien (依水園) is an attractive Japanese garden with a variety of features, such as the use of Todaiji Temple's Nandaimon Gate and Mount Wakakusayama as borrowed scenery. Isuien means garden founded on water, and the garden's name is derived from the fact that its ponds are fed by the small adjacent Yoshikigawa River. The Yoshikien Garden is located just on the other side of the river.
Isuien is divided into two parts, a front garden and a rear garden, with a number of tea houses scattered throughout. The front garden has a longer history, dating back to the mid 17th century. The rear garden, the larger of the two, is more recent and was built in 1899 by a wealthy merchant. Next to the garden there is a museum displaying a personal collection of pottery, seals, mirrors and other artifacts from ancient China and Korea, which is included with admission.
Located in central Nara, a visit to Isuien Garden is easily combined with seeing other attractions such as Todaiji Temple and Kofukuji Temple, which are both a ten minute walk away.

Kasuga Taisha Shrine, Nara - 春日大社 - Japan As It Truly Is
Kasuga Taisha is Nara's undersung jewel and has a history going back to 768 AD. It's famous for its more than 3000 lanterns.
The approach to Kasuga Grand Shrine is through the Kasugayama Primeval Forest, and both are UNESCO World Heritage Sites. The walk through Nara Park past the many deer is very relaxing, and you can also see here several smaller shrines next to Kasuga - the area has been preserved as it was over 1200 years ago.
There are several annual festivals at Kasuga Taisha also - in February, March, and August.
The Todaiji Temple as well as the Isuien Garden and Yoshikien Garden get a lot more attention, but don't miss this huge shrine which you'll never forget.
