My Brother at the Police Station - Youth Link Calgary - Police Interactive Center
My Brother and I went to the Calgary Youth Link Police Interactive Center for his school project. He was learning about the invisible heroes in our society, so he wanted to interview a police officer for his project. The CPS was very friendly and let us come to the Youth Link Center on a day they are closed to do an interview.
It is a very cool place and is FREE and open to the public on Friday and Saturday.

Sean goes to the Calgary Police Museum
I went with my Dad to the Calgary Police Interpretive Centre. It was very interesting. We used fingerprints to solve a crime, learned about blood splatter patterns and I got to play on a police motorcycle, police ca and to sit in a jail cell. It was super fun and it is free!

[RAW COVERAGE] Safety Expo welcomes 3,700 grade five and six students
On March 6th and 7th, more than 3,700 grade five and six students will attend the 16th annual Safety Expo hosted by The City of Calgary in the Municipal Building Atrium. The event gives students hands-on learning experiences with over 20 interactive exhibits from City and partner organizations, and workshops on topics including anti-bullying, bicycle safety, electrical safety, emergency preparedness, fire safety and internet/online safety.
Safety Expo is organized in collaboration with Alberta Construction Safety Association, Alberta Health Services – EMS, Calgary Fire Department, Calgary Police Service, Calgary Youth Link, Canadian Red Cross, ENMAX Corporation and Girl Guides of Canada.
“The Safety Expo is one of the most important events The City hosts because it teaches students about staying safe inside and outside of the home,” said Mayor Naheed Nenshi. “I want congratulate my colleagues who’ve done an amazing job coming up with creative and interactive ways to demonstrate how children can share in the responsibility for individual and community safety.”
Thanks to The City’s partnerships with ENMAX, as well as other community, not-for-profit and corporate organizations who provide both financial and in-kind contributions, the Safety Expo is free for students and exhibitors. Hundreds of contributors will participate in the event, including volunteers, exhibitors, and presenters.
“In the last 15 years, about 50,000 Calgary students have been able to learn valuable lessons on how to recognize safety hazards at home, school and play,” says Councillor Diane Colley-Urquhart, Honourary Chair of the Safety Expo. “The City is pleased to be able to bring this safety education to so many students.”
