Entsuji Zen Temple Well
One minute of nothing happening at the entrance to Entsuji temple (outside Kurashiki), where the famous Zen Master and monk poet Ryokan spent some of his formative years. Enjoy the pristine soundscape!
Kennin-ji Zen Temple, Kyoto City
Kennin-ji Zen Temple is located in the Gion District of Kyoto City and is the oldest Zen Temples in Kyoto City. It is also considered as one of the five great Zen Temples of Kyoto City. Currently it also serves as one of the head temples of Rinzai Sect of Japanese Zen Buddhism.

Deep in the heart of MacRitchie Reservoir lie the ruins of the Syonan
Jinja, a Shinto shrine built during the Japanese Occupation of Singapore.
Envisioned first as a spiritual and recreational centre for the future
empire, then built by Australian POWs and Japanese craftsmen, today it
exists only as stone relics and fragments, swallowed up by the thick
tropical rainforest.
As young artists, we have embarked on a journey of discovery to reclaim this
forgotten monument. Its very existence is intriguing a beautiful artefact
of civilisation from an age of blood and destruction. Its architects made
outlandish promises: that the site would be the greatest in the world after
the Meiji Shrine, that the area might be a future host for the Olympic
Games.
Perhaps most provoking is the love-hate relationship between Singapore and
the shrine. Historians and tourism promoters want it preserved, even
rebuilt to commemorate our national heritage. Ordinary citizens, however,
have violently objected to any celebration of former Japanese rule even as
they happily consume Japanese commercial and cultural products.
Led by TheatreWorks Associate Artistic Director, Choy Ka Fai, we are an
ensemble of creative people from Singapore and Japan with roots in poetry,
dance, drama, architecture, sports and multimedia. We have made pilgrimages
to the jungle, probed the site scientifically, studied archival documents,
drawings and oral histories, and processed our own collective memories to
recreate and re-imagine the shrine as a sacred site.
Our performance, a tapestry of images, sound and movement, will be a drama
of recollection, an attempt to capture the Syonan Jinjas sleeping spirit.

Japan Travel: Korakuen Okayama's main attraction Beautiful landscape garden Okayama10 Moopon
Korakuen is a beautiful landscape garden and Okayama's main attraction. Along with Kanazawa's Kenrokuen and Mito's Kairakuen, Korakuen is ranked as one of Japan's three best landscape gardens. It is located just beside Okayama Castle, which can be seen from the garden as borrowed scenery.
The local feudal lord ordered the construction of Korakuen in 1687 as a place of entertainment for the ruling family and a location for receiving important guests. Occasionally, the public was permitted to enter the garden.
In 1884, a few years after the end of the feudal era, Korakuen became the property of Okayama Prefecture and was opened to the public. The garden suffered damage from floods in 1934 and bombing during the war, but it has always been restored to its original state thanks to the accurate records kept by the garden's designers.
Korakuen is a spacious garden that incorporates the typical features of a Japanese landscape garden, including a large pond, streams, walking paths and a hill that serves as a lookout point. Rather unique for a Japanese garden, however, are Korakuen's spacious lawns. Also found in the garden are groves of plum, cherry and maple trees, tea and rice fields, an archery range and a crane aviary.
Korakuen is about 1.5 kilometers or a 25-30 minute walk east of Okayama Station. Trams on the Higashiyama Line can be taken to Shiroshita stop (5 minutes, 100 yen, frequent departures) from where the garden's south gate can be reached in a 10-15 minute walk. Alternatively, a bus runs between Okayama Station and Korakuen-mae bus stop (20 minutes, 140 yen, every 15-25 minutes), which is located just beside the garden's main gate.
Note that there are two entrances to Korakuen: a main gate beside the Prefectural Museum and a south gate near the bridge that crosses to Okayama Castle.

Admission ends 15 minutes before closing time.
Closed: No closing days
Admission: 400 yen (Korakuen only)

ヨガ、瞑想指導歴16年。シカゴ、サンディエゴ、ポートランド、ロングビーチに練習用センターを設け、世界中の生徒を指導する。実践的に日常の生活に取り入れられるヨガを専門とし、生徒達と共に健康、教育、創造性とコミュニティー作りなどに対する意識を高めることに取り組む。
自身の総合的なトレーニングとしては、18,000年以上の歴史を持ち、様々なスタイルに進化しているヨガの手法を取り入れている。古典的なインド式ヨガ（ハタ・ヨガ、クンダリーニ・ヨガ）から、アジアの武道（タオ・ヨガ）、中央アジアの古代の学派（チベットのボン・ヨガ、タントラ、スーフィズム“イスラム神秘主義”）と、その研究は多岐に及ぶ。さらに、新しく作り出された統合運動機能を持つ、ピラティス、ジャイロトニック及びジャイロキネシスを学び、知識と経験を深めている。

2006年より南インドマイソールにあるアシュタンガヨガの総本山 アシュタンガヨガリサーチインスティテュートにて、故シュリKパタビジョイス師とその孫 シャラートランガスワミ師より直接指導を受ける為に毎年渡印し、2011年3月にかつて前例の無い 飛び級でのAuthorization Level 2の資格を頂く。
現在は福岡・熊本でのクラスを担当し、県外でのWSも行いながら、アシュタンガヨガの健全な普及に努めている。2014年10月にはベトナム・ハノイでのワークショップが予定されており、海外でも活躍中。

活発な幼少期は野球やサッカーなどをして過ごす。17歳の頃スケートボードに熱中し、サンフランシスコに留学してスケートボードに明け暮れる。ヒザの怪我を機にやむなくスケートボードから少し離れ、ルームメイトがヨガをしているのを初めて目にしてヨガに興味を持ち始め練習をスタートさせる。
東京ヨガジャヤでフルタイムティチャーの経験を経て、現在は都内のヨガスタジオでの講師と鎌倉にて自身のヨガ響室Quiet timeを主催。解剖学的知見からの緻密な練習方法と自由で創造性豊かなビンヤサヨガ（動きと呼吸の連動したスタイル）をベースに意識の変化の様相を表現した”動的瞑想”という独自のスタイルを提唱するフリースタイラー。ストリートブランドLUZ e SOMBRAのアンバサダー。

This was a very casual tea gathering. Usually tea ceremony is very quiet but we enjoyed both talking and tea ceremony both. It's not traditional way but I would like to share in joy of tea ceremony. Even some people were talking behind them, two people; a host and a guest couldn't hear the sounds and two of them shared quiet and tense atmosphere, The meeting was casual and we still enjoyed essence of tea ceremony.
