Snow Hits Yulong Mountain in SW China Province
Snow hit the Yulong Snow Mountain resort in Lijiang City of southwest China's Yunnan Province on Thursday night, bringing extra joy for visitors from all over the world.
It was the first snow of the year for the region as it is now autumn there.
The snow began at about 04:00 this morning. It is rare in this season. Even for Lijiang City or Yun'nan Province, it is not common, said He Xueqian, general manager of the cableway operation branch of Lijiang Yulong Travel Co., Ltd.
The staff of the resort carried out contingency plan against the snow to ensure a harmonious and orderly travel environment for the visitors.
We organized our staff immediately to clear the snow in the resort so that the visitors could enjoy their time safely, said He.

Jade Dragon Snow Mountain, Lijiang, Yunnan
Jade Dragon Snow Mountain is a mountain massif or small mountain range in Yulong Naxi Autonomous County, Lijiang, in Yunnan province, China. Its highest peak is named Shanzidou and is 5,596 m (18,360 ft) above sea level.

The Jade Dragon Snow Mountain lies about 30 minutes drive from Lijiang Old Town and is easily reached by minibus, taxi or as part of a day trip organised by one of the many travel agencies in Lijiang. The area around the mountain has been designated the Yulongshan Geological Park. Inside the park you can enjoy the scenery, see the Lijiang Impressions outdoor show or take one of three cable cars up the mountain. We chose to take the cable car to the highest viewing platform at approximately 4500 metres above sea level and then walk up to the top platform at 4636 metres or 15,200 feet. Oxygen and warm clothing is available if you need it, I guess it depends on your level of fitness and confidence in your own ability. Enjoy the video.

How to get there?
From Chengdu city (China) take a bus trip which takes you to the base of the Mountain. There you buy cable car tickets to the Mountain. You can stay in one of the Hotels at the top of the mountain and enjoy the wonderful scenery and the snowy environment.

Snow Hits Changbai Mountains in NE China
Snow hit a wide range of Changbai Mountains in Jilin province, northeast China, on Wednesday.
Affected by Typhoon Goni, the temperature on Changbai Mountains decreased more than 10 degrees centigrade and the wind reached Force 12 at its peak.
With wind and snow in the air, the visibility at peak was less than 50 meters. According to the statistics of local meteorological bureau, Changhai Mountains had snowfall every month since September, 2014 to present. Therefore, Changbai Mountains were recognized to have snow in every season. The tourists were all excited to see snow in Summer.
The snow is so big that we can almost see nothing. However, I fell amazing and excited about that because I come from a place far away with hot summer now,” said Liu Jiahui, a tourist from Hong Kong.
“It is still more than 30 degrees centigrade in my hometown wearing summer clothes. So I am happy to see snow now,” said Li Yun, a tourist form Shandong Province.
To protect the safety of tourists, the scenic spot had started to clean up the snow and prepared antiskid vehicles.
