Mobbed By Kangaroos in Yuraygir National Park, NSW, Australia
We're surrounded by mobs of kangaroos in Yuraygir National Park along Australia's Legendary Pacific Coast. We've scored a fantastic campsite and are enjoying some solitude overlooking the ocean.
Mob is the term for a group of 'roos, and we're definitely mobbed!
Special thanks to Russell Mills for his help in planning our route. Learn all about the Legendary Pacific Coast here:

If you're planning an RV trip to Australia or New Zealand, we loved our Maui campervan!
We're sharing every aspect of our 2,700-kilometer drive from the Great Barrier Reef to Sydney. We'll compare the systems on our campervan to North American RVs, experience a mix of Holiday Parks and Free Camping and of course we'll feature the famous beauty and hospitality of Oz.

193. The Illaroo Campground comprises 2 options, the North and South camps. Our stay was in the North campground.
It is only a few kms from Wooli on the NSW Coast and not far from Grafton.
The road in is bitumen to the turnoff with the last 2kms on dirt road which had many potholes when we were there. Take it easy and you will have no issues.
Bins are available and there are toilets. A BBQ overlooking the beach is also available.
There is no Telstra Phone coverage however Optus does work here.
This is National Park and therefore pets are prohibited.
Our site was quite large and most come with a fire pit.
Also you will need a NSW National Parks vehicle pass for $8 per day or we have the annual pass for $65.
Cost to stay is $12 per adult per night. Children are $6 per night. Visitors are $8 per day.
Our stay was 24th October 2018

First Falls (Youcamp)
We made our own long-weekend and headed down to Grafton in northern NSW, to stay on a property we spotted on Youcamp (our new favourite website) and the promise of escaping all the yobs who have now decided they want to go camping and share their yobbiness with everyone else.
If you have not heard of Youcamp, it is like AirBNB, but for camping and farm-stays like Trevor and Mary's First Falls slightly west of Grafton ( As with the majority of places on Youcamp, you need to be completely self-sufficient, which suits us fine as apparently most yobs are not as tough as they seem to think they are.
This was our second Youcamp experience, with the first being at Cooloomboola Camping on the last night of our FNQing Fun trip, back in May this year. If the current trend of each Youcamp stay being exponentially better than the last, then the next one has a rather large challenge ahead of it, because First Falls was just perfect.
We are booking again for Easter 2019 if anyone is keen to join us :) - we can add you to our booking (we hope to stay on the other site )...who knows we may even do Thai Chicken Wings again!
(They take a maximum of 12 per site, with two sites available on the property).
