Lusaka National Museum of Zambia
HISTORY
The Lusaka National Museum is the latest entry into the directory of museums in the country. It officially opened its doors to the public in October 1996. The museum has already proved to be an attractive tourist resort and active research and educational institution.
GALLERIES
The museum collection is preserved in storage rooms, while other heritage objects are displayed in two galleries on the ground and upper floors of the museum building.
The lower gallery is home to contemporary art, highlighting the way of life of the Zambian people through paintings, sculptures and models. The upper gallery tells a glowing story of Zambia's development, from ancient through historic past to contemporary way of life. The children's corner is yet another display attraction on the upper floor.
EDUCATION SERVICES
The Education Department provides education services to schools, colleges and other interest groups on various museum-related subjects through video shows, specially designed programs and gallery tours. Also on offer are demonstrations on art of traditional pottery and publicaties.

Lusaka is the capital of Zambia. In the center, sprawling Lusaka City Market sells clothing, produce and other goods. The National Museum exhibits archaeological finds and contemporary art.

The Chinyunyu hotspring is round about two hours away from Lusaka city. It is located in the Rufunsa District, just a few minutes from Chongwe Market. This is an amazing site.

People go there to wash in the water as they believe that touching this water will cleanse them of all their troubles, people also go there for prayer as they believe that this site is a gift from God.
Some kids walk through this very hot water and when, asked how they could do that, they said that they go there everyday to practice. The water from the Hot springs flows into the nearby Chibuyu Street. The water comes from the ground and is as hot as a cup of coffee (metaphorically).
The charges are only K8 for Zambian Adults and K4 for Zambian Children. It is a must see. So go ahead, plan your trip to the Chinyunyu Hot Springs and see the naturally hot water coming from the ground.
