Zandsculptuur Blankenberge 2012

Het Zandsculpturenfestival staat in de Duinse Polders van Blankenberge, langs de Koning Albert I laan, recht tegenover Sea Life Center, en op wandelafstand van het strand en de Pier.

'Sprookjeswereld' opent zijn zandpoorten voor het publiek vanaf vrijdag 1 juni tot en met zondag 2 september 2012, elke dag doorlopend vanaf 10 tot 19 uur.

Het festival wordt gebouwd door circa 40 professionele zandkunstenaars uit alle hoeken van de wereld. Niet minder dan 10.000 ton zand wordt gesculpteerd op een oppervlakte van ruim 4.000 m², goed voor een bezoek van ruim anderhalf uur. Het festival is officieel het grootste zandsculpturenfestival ter wereld.

The Sand Sculpture Festival will be built on the festival site on the King Albert I-laan in Blankenberge and will open its sand-crusted gates to the public from Friday, 1 June 2012 up to and including Sunday, 2 September 2012, with daily opening from 10 o'clock in the morning until 7 o' clock in the evening.

The Sand Sculpture Festival will be built by an international team of 38 professional artists, drawn from countries as diverse as Belgium, the Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Ukraine, Poland, Russia, Italy, Spain, Mexico, Siberia and Australia. The festival is a technical tour de force, created from millions of kilograms of specially prepared sand by masterful hands from around the world.

Dit festival was dit jaar weer de moeite waard.Van mickey mouse tot alladin en belle en het beest,kortom vele disneyfiguren komen hier aan bod.Wanneer je door de gangen met prachtige sculpturen wandelt waan je jezelf in een sprookjesverhaal.
