(づ￣ ³￣)づ In this weeks Travel Vlog Europe 2019, Ep. 4 my youtube family, me and the misses took some time off to go to one of Europe's rarely talked about jewels which is the incredibly beautiful island of Zakynthos, Greece. Join us on our journey to see what Gaia has to offer us today. We visit one of the best beaches in Greece, take a boat around the island, we will visit many amazing Greek restaurants and we also dine on some great street food for those on a budget like us.
Zakynthos is known for having some of the best beaches and party scene in Greece and Europe, but yet it is rarely talked about and I cannot figure out why. All well, more for us right... Enjoy your trip with us. OneLOve!

We Flew to Zakynthos from Athens and rented a car to get around Zakynthos.

Μια απλή κι όμως σπάνια ιδέα είχαν μια παρέα φίλων στη Ζάκυνθο, για να κάνουν γνωστές στους επισκέπτες τις καλύτερες γωνιές της πόλης τους. Ποια; Να την περπατήσουν
Ποιος είναι ο καλύτερος τρόπος να γνωρίσεις την πόλη σου? Φυσικά, το περπάτημα! Αυτό σκέφτηκαν 4 φίλοι στη Ζάκυνθο και δημιούργησαν το Zante free Walking tour, μια εθελοντική ομάδα που ξεναγεί εντελώς δωρεάν τουρίστες στις ομορφιές της πόλης που δεν θα δουν ποτέ με το αυτοκίνητο.
Μόλις 5 νέοι άνθρωποι, σχεδόν όλοι φοιτητές, πήραν αυτή την πρωτοβουλία και πριν 1 μήνα ξεκίνησαν τις περιηγήσεις τους, στο κάστρο, το Κρυονέρι, τα καντούνια της πόλης και άλλα σημεία της μέσα και γύρω από την πόλη. Οσοι τους ακολουθούν, ντόπιοι επισκέπτες, Ελληνες και ξένοι μένουν ενθουσιασμένοι.
Η εμπειρία είναι μοναδική, δεν την προσφέρει κανένα τουριστικό πακέτο και είναι μία από τις καλύτερες διαφημίσεις ενός τόπου στο εξωτερικό. Αλλωστε, περπατώντας στην πόλη, μαθαίνεις τα καλύτερα μυστικά της.

The beach village of Laganas is on the southeastern coast. A large part of Laganas is a national park, established for the protection of turtles. The village is a paradise for noisy tourists - usually a group of teenagers from the Nordic countries (England, etc.).

- Nice sandy beaches (don't be afraid of the noise of landing aircraft).
- Sand can build perfect sand structures (children will love it).
- Boat rentals.
- Harbor near Laganas (ideal for boat trips).
- A lot of sea shells and turtles (Caretta caretta).
- Dining options (most often fastfood).
- Cheap alcohol in alcohol stores.
- Emergency and pharmacy.
???? Disadvantages:
- Noise from evening to morning (group of teenagers).
- A mess - 2:56.
- Aggressive individuals and few cops.
- The center is one very long and ugly street.
- Expensive foods in markets.

ZAKYNTHOS or Zante is a Greek island in the Ionian Sea. It is the third largest of the Ionian Islands. Zakynthos is a separate regional unit of the Ionian Islands region, and its only municipality. It covers an area of 405.55 km2 (156.6 sq mi) and its coastline is roughly 123 km (76 mi) in length. The name, like all similar names ending in -nthos, is pre-Mycenaean or Pelasgian in origin. In Greek mythology the island was said to be named after Zakynthos, the son of a legendary Arcadian chief Dardanus.
Zakynthos is a tourist destination, with an international airport served by charter flights from northern Europe. The island's nickname is The flower of the Levant, bestowed upon it by the Venetians who were in possession of Zakynthos from 1484–1797.

I went to Tsilivi, Zante with my wonderful parents at the beginning of September. We had such a lovely trip together, Zante is such a beautiful island.
We stayed at Tsilivi Beach Hotel, would highly recommend. I would also recommend going on the eco-friendly turtle spotting trip with Nefis Travel, it was an unforgettable experience.

A quick walk around the Louis Zante Beach Hotel. Its July and very quiet. Its my first upload so I dont think I'll get the settings right first time. Sorry about the voice, we were going to change it, then couldnt be bothered. Proper videos of the beach, rooms, bars etc... to follow. Don't panic if you are 18-30 the strip is only 10 mins walk.
