A trip to Xinjiang/
*Location:
Lvliang, Shan1xi -- Yan'an, Shan3xi -- Zhongwei, Ningxia
(China is omitted from the position during this trip)
*Attraction:
Zaoyuan Old Revolutionary Site of Yan'an
*Summary:
Anyway we visited the old revolutionary site today, but not Mount Baota or cave dwelling, since it was just tooooo hot there. Both Shan1xi and Shan3xi(different provinces) are as hot as stoves in summer, every place is like that except a few small cities.
Today we started from Shan1xi, passing Shan3xi and then arrived at Ninxia, lived in a small city called Zhongwei finally. The dinner was barbecue, not pretty cheap but 1/3 cheaper than eating a similar meal in Hangzhou(my home city). The city Zhongwei is better(more developed) than Lvliang yesterday, Shan1xi should have a think, why those people are still beating gongs and drums on the street in 2019.
Nothing else, otherwise I do not have so much time of typing words every night^^.

School Poverty alleviation in poor rural regions in southern Xinjiang, safe drinking water for rural kids
Southern Xinjiang is one of the 14 worst poverty regions in China prioritized for alleviation program by the government. The alleviation officials found the local school kids have a habit of drinking tap water directly from the faucets and they tested the local tap water and found the water is not clean enought for direct drinking and may compromise children's health.
After the report handed to the government, the government sent and installed water purifier machines in local schools, now children can drink water safely from those machines and the children say the water from the water purifiers taste much better.
The local teacher says it'll still take some time to change the local kids habit of drinking tapwater directly though.
