Liangzhu Museum (良渚博物館) Part 1, Hangzhou, China
Poorly publicized museum in the picturesque city of Hangzhou, designed by David Chipperfield. The building and the exhibits deserve much more visitors. Take the exit from West Lake and spend half a day here would definitely be rewarded. Review of architecture at here:

The first climate change museum opened in Hangzhou, China in 2012. The building is green, and the four floors of exhibits are spectacular.
Episode 15: Hangzhou, China: Wonders of Walking West Lake Zhejiang 第15集:中国杭州:浙江西湖奇观 步行
We were BLOWN AWAY by Hangzhou. I think we had low expectations and in every area, it surpassed what we thought it would be. The main attraction in Hangzhou is West Lake. The lake is 13.5 miles in circumference and easily walkable, bu other options exist like electric carts and bicycles. All along the way, you run into famous pagodas, bridges, temples, museums, and places to sit along the lake. It's relaxing and very chill. The people are great. The food is outstanding and prices, believe it or not, were quite inexpensive and reasonable.
After hosting the G20, we thought that the lake and surrounding area would be highly commercialized, but it has maintained a very quiet, quaint and traditional environment. It took us about 10 hours to walk around the entire lake and back to our hotel. It was a long day, but well worth it.
The landscaping and natural beauty of the lake and mountains are breathtaking. Hangzhou is well worth a visit of at least a few days. Try to go during lotus season - it must be even more beautiful with all of the flowers in bloom. We did not have the chance to take a ferry to the islands; it rained one entire day and we ran out of time. We did hear the islands are lovely and being on the lake is a treat.

HANGZHOU FENGQI ROAD TO WEST LAKE RIDE
Details of the video: I took a shared bike to make part of Hangzhou Fengqi, a big road with several shops aside and leading to the famous West Lake. This is the first I am shooting in Hangzhou. I was there to spend the Chinese New Year along with my parents-in-law and my family. Weather was cold but luckily sunny, rest of the days were raining. You can notice traffic that is low, and some shops closed for holidays.
Hangzhou have many natural landscapes and I will shoot them when the weather will be warmer and sunnier.
I am shooting these videos to give an immersive experience to people that are watching them as if you were walking or riding in these streets. I decided not to put myself in highlight, neither use music as the star is the streets or cities I am shooting, along with its noise.
I am planning to open sub-channels related to business, experiences and cooking. With the new YouTube policy, youtubers need motivation to upload and provide quality content, kindly help me to reach 1,000 subscribers and 4,000 hours view, by subscribing, clicking on the bell for notifications, liking, commenting and sharing.
When I will reach this target, I am planning to do real-time live videos on top sceneries like the Bund at night, Yu Garden, Tian Zi Fang, why not night clubbing parties… Put in the comments, what you would like to see, and I would do my best to shoot it when I have time and if the weather permits.
About me: it’s been 12 years that I am living in Shanghai with my family. I am an entrepreneur and it’s been quite a long time that I wanted to do something different that what you can see in Youtube: have an immersive experience, rather than a documentary.
It’s easier for me to shoot Shanghai but I will cover other cities as my travels will lead me.
If you are a Chinese city who wants to make discover your beauties, contact me!
If you are a company doing action cam, drone, video equipment…, I can review your product if I can make an honest review about it, contact me!
Enjoy this channel and I will better up the quality along with the views, likes, subscribers and comments. I am open to constructive critics to make me improve.
Thanks for watching!
PS: done with an action cam on head strap with stabilizer on and on a shared bike. Almost not edited, just 1 cut because of a long traffic light... to give real live experience.

2. Close-up the sketch
3. Close-up Chu
4. Mid of sketch
5. Mid of sketch depicting reporter, photographer and cameraman
6. Various of sketch
7. SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Chu Teh-yung, Taiwanese cartoonist:
In fact they (Taiwanese and mainland Chinese readers) share the same feeling to my work. They just like it. They all feel the same that they would say 'Why are you able to draw these?' and 'What you draw is what I have experienced before.' I remember one person said, 'Are you living next to me? How would you be able to know what had happened in my family?' They all have the same feeling (after reading my cartoons). This just reflects human nature.
8. Various of drawings in comic books and comic strips
9.SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Chu Teh-yung, Taiwanese cartoonist:
People have already forgotten their childhoods. In fact people should always remind themselves how they lived their lives when they were children, as being true to yourself brings real happiness. Politics brings the most unhappy things to people. It should be thrown far away.
Hangzhou city, Zhejiang province, China - April 29, 2009

11. Mid shot of the signboard

13. Mid shot of spectators
14. Pan from left to right, showing spectators took part in ceremony
15. SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Wang Shiyao, Hangzhou citizen, Comic book fan
I think it (the humour centre) is going to be very helpful to educate the youngsters. These ideas in his comic series are so fresh to us and his comic series like Shuangxiangpao are my favourite.
16. Close up of Chu viewing and signing contract to build humour centre
17. Mid shot of Chu signing contract
18. Pan from investors signing contract to reporters
19. Zoom out of Chu shaking hand with a local official on stage
20. Wide shot of the interior of the signing ceremony venue
21. SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Chu Teh-yung, Taiwanese cartoonist:
Many people often ask me whether the Chinese have a sense of humour, and my answer is yes, they do. People just don't notice it. I hope I can send the 'message of laughter' via my comics and humour; and I hope the humour centre here can become a significant cultural landmark. And most importantly, I hope it can help people feel the influence of laughter in our daily life.
Taipei, Taiwan - 14 April 2009
22. Wide of five comic books that have been translated to English or Korean
23. SOUNDBITE (Mandarin) Chu Teh-yung, Taiwanese cartoonist:
They (the Chinese authorities) just want to build an animation and cartoon production base. As I mentioned earlier, they just want the best. Once the best gets in, the others will follow suit. And once they get in, they will naturally create their works there. Once they build such a museum, they will turn it to a cultural landmark. Hangzhou province is a tourist attraction which attracts people from all provinces. When there is a Chu Teh-yung museum, people will go there when they visit Hangzhou, which is good for tourism.
24. Mid of cartoon characters made of clay
25. Tilt up a clay cartoon character depicting a middle-aged woman
26. SOUNDBITE: (Mandarin) Chu Teh-yung, Taiwanese cartoonist:
When readers read my comics, they have entered my world of humour. The characters that exist in this world of humour are created by me. Such world is actually representing reality. But this virtual comic world is in fact making us happier than the real world.
27. Pan a cartoon character in comic The Absolute Kid

Family Travelers' Visit to Hangzhou
Hangzhou had a really special visit from some really cool travelers just before Christmas. Little 6-year-old Emmie and her mother Evie hail from Australia and have been traveling around Southeast Asia from one adventure to the next for over 10 months. This awesome traveling family saw some of the best attractions Hangzhou has to offer: Lingyin temple, the Meijiawu Dragon Well Tea Village, the Natural History Museum, and took a boat ride on Westlake.
They were hosted by the posh Westlake Sofitel Hotel, and had a high tea chocolate special treat, a relaxing afternoon at the spa, and a very delicious buffet dinner there.
