The Mammoth Museum is a beautiful and educational place to visit. An important part of the discoveries of mammoths, bison, woolly rhinoceros, muskox, cave lions and other animals long extinct were made in Yakutia. The Mammoth Museum was created in 1991 in Yakutsk as scientific and cultural center studying mammoths and their environment before the ice age. In this unique museum, many valuable paleontological items are displayed.

Sakhalin Island, Russia on $200. Seafood, Skiing and Sushi @Russia: Tips, Tricks & Travel

In this episode of Russia: Tips, Tricks & Travel Tim goes to the little known yet massive Russian island that used to be (partially) part of the Japanese Empire.

Tim Kirby starts his journey downtown next to one of the most regular “guests” on our program Vladimir Lenin. From there he went to the amazing Japanese-styled Sakhalin Regional Museum. History sure makes a guy hungry, so on his way to the region’s first and oldest Japanese restaurant Tim stops by the Anton Pavlovich Chekhov memorial to pay his respects to a major player in the island’s history. At the restaurant Tim speaks with its founder and philanthropist Yutaka Miyanisi who shows our host the proper way to do sushi. One hint, it does not include mayo, not even spicy mayo!

From there Tim decides that he should share the island’s amazing seafood with his family and stocks up at the Central Market (“Успех”/”Uspekh”) with all sorts of fish, crab and caviar.

From there Tim drops his stuff at the Japanese built and inspired Santa Resort Hotel to see how hotel rooms made for the Land of the Rising Sun fare in Russia. After teaching the robot Japanese toilet who is boss Tim heads out to the ski slopes of the Gorny Vosdukh Ski Resort. Thankfully our hero survives the trip down the snowy routes and heads out to the Harat’s Pub downtown to meet up with a fan after it gets dark.

Next Tim has to track down said fan and does so using the old railway still built to Japanese Imperial standards. He then gets exclusive access to the port in Korsakov. From there Tim sneaks into the boat graveyard, you’ll see whether the guard dogs bit him or not jumping over the fence.

Sometimes referred to as the Siberian Shangri-la, the Russian region of Tuva is both remote and mysterious.
North of Mongolia and surrounded by mountains, after centuries of isolation, Tuva is now being explored by the rest of the world.
STORYLINE:
Tuva is one of 20 republics of the Russian Federation.
The size of Florida, only 300-thousand or so people live in this land of high plains and valleys surrounded by mountain peaks.
The Tuvan people are rightly proud of their Scythian ancestors, whose horses thundered across the Siberian steppe 2,700 years ago.
The Tuvans themselves are just as capable horsemen.
To celebrate the opening of the Arzhan-2 museum a day of traditional Tuvan sports was held in the valley.
Arzhan-2 is an undisturbed royal burial site dating from the Scythian period.
Two races were held - one 15 kilometre ( 9 mile) race for horses under 3 years old and a 25 kilometre (15.5 mile) race for older horses.
Historically Tuvans led a nomadic way of life, moving on horses from one settlement to another and the natural conditions of the republic are perfect for horse riding.
But Arzhan-2 was made entirely of stone.

مدينة نوفوسيبيرسك الروسية
نوفوسيبيرسك تسمّى بالروسيّة Новосибирск، وتعتبر إحدى مدن روسيا في الكيان الفدرالي الروسي نوفوسيبيرسك أوبلاست، وقد كانت نوفوسيبرسك في البداية قرية صغيرة في نهاية القرن التاسع عشر، وذلك تحت اسم نوفو نيكولايفسك، وسكنها العمّال الذين قاموا بمد جسر السكك الحديدية عبر نهر أوب، ولكن مع مرور الوقت، وتوسيع شبكة طرق السكك الحديديّة في سيبيريا، تطوّرت المدينة وأصبحت تلعب دوراً مهمّاً في البنية الأساسيّة للإقليم، وبالأخص في مجالي التجارة والنقل، وتقع المدينة في الجنوب الشرقي من الجانب الغربي لسهل سيبيريا، الذي يقع على ضفاف نهر أوب، وتبعد مدينة نوفوسيبيرسك عن العاصمة موسكو مسافة تقارب (3191) كم، وهي بمثابة حلقة وصل تقع على تقاطع الطرق الفيدراليّة الرئيسيّة التي تتّجه من جهة الغرب إلى الشرق، ومن جهة الشمال إلى الجنوب.
الأماكن السياحية في مدينة نوفوسيبيرسك
توجد العديد من الأماكن السياحيّة في المدينة، ومنها غاليري اللوحات الفنيّة، وحديقة النباتات، وحديقة الحيوان الوحيدة في سيبيريا، والتي تحتوي على مئة واثنين وثمانين نوعاً من الحيوانات المذكورة في السجل الأحمر الدولي، بالإضافة إلى ثمانين نوعاً آخرين مسجّلين في السجل الأحمر الروسي، كما تجذب الزوّار لها؛ إذ إنّ رموز الحقبة السوفيتيّة، والطراز المعماري السوفييتي جعلاها من أكثر الأماكن جذباً للسكّان.
Novosibirsk, founded in 1893 at the future site of a Trans-Siberian Railway bridge crossing the great Siberian river of Ob, first was named Novonikolayevsk (Новониколаевск), in honor both of Saint Nicholas and of the reigning Tsar Nicholas II. It superseded nearby Krivoshchekovskaya village, which was founded in 1696. The bridge was completed in the spring of 1897, making the new settlement the regional transport hub. The importance of the city further increased with the completion of the Turkestan–Siberia Railway in the early 20th century. The new railway connected Novonikolayevsk to Central Asia and the Caspian Sea

Yakutsk Permafrost Museum

The Permafrost Museum in Yakutsk was fascinating. Great in winter because of no tourists.
This museum is also known as the Institute of cryonics. It was constructed in 1967. It is dedicated to the study of Permafrost.

4個年輕人參加了M21主辦的《非常旅人任務：關愛孩童》
目的為探訪俄羅斯西伯利亞的西北部的一個部落 - ????????茨族。我們探訪俄羅斯西伯利亞的學校的小朋友都是孤兒。過程雖然艱辛，但一切都很有意義。

薩列哈爾德（Salekhard）位於俄羅斯西伯利亞北極圈內，一座只有500多年歷史的城市，因為位置偏遠、氣候嚴寒，最初只係流放政治犯的地方，作為探訪涅涅茨族的入口，今集非常旅人帶大家遊覽呢座非熱門旅遊地點的北極城市…仲有傳說中的午夜太陽添！

由香港飛到俄羅斯首都莫斯科，再飛到地球唯一一座座落在北極圈上的城市：薩列哈爾德（Salekhard），展開一場探索極地孩子夢想的旅程...

這個俄羅斯西伯利亞旅程真的令自己成長不小！我在這次旅程中做攝影師，這些影片都是在原有影片上加上自己的個人感受而製作的，旅程的正片都在青協M21的官方頻道。

With the aim of visiting a tribe in the northwest of Siberia, Russia. We visited the Russian Siberian school children are orphans. The process was hard, but everything was meaningful.

Salekhard is located in the Russian Siberian Arctic Circle, a city with only 500 years of history. Because of the remote location and cold weather. At first Salekhard was for discharging the political prisoners. As the entrance to the Nenets, we would like to take you to visit the non-popular tourist destination of the Arctic city - Salekhard ... We could see the midnight sun in Salekhard too!

From Hong Kong to the Russian capital of Moscow, and then fly to the Earth is the only one located in the Arctic Circle on the city: Salekhard, launched a journey to explore the polar children dream ...

This Russian Siberian journey really make their own growth is not small! I was in the journey to do the photographer, these films are in the original film with their own personal feelings and the production of the trip are in the Youth Association M21 official channel.

RUSSIA: CONTROVERSIAL ART EXHIBITION

Seventy-four paintings on display at Russia's State Hermitage Museum in St. Petersburg are at the centre of a bitter cultural dispute between Russia and Germany.

It's the first time the works - which include paintings by great masters such as Picasso, Cezanne, Degas and Gaugin - have appeared in public since the end of World War II.

Masterpieces, taken from Germany after the second world war by the Soviet government, are on show at the Hermitage museum.

It's a breathtaking exhibition that is also controversial. Ownership is still a matter of fierce dispute.

The mayor of St Petersburg says they are part of Russia's heritage and must remain.

The Hermitage contains the most important art treasures. Everything that's in the Hermitage belongs to the Hermitage. They can't be sold or given away, not even by the government.

A view strongly opposed by the German consul who says they must be returned to the German collections from which they were taken over 50 years ago.

We do understand that it's not an easy question. We understand the feelings of the people in Russia, particularly this year. Nevertheless, we are happy that the export negotiations continue. Our foreign minister just met with the Russian minister. They agreed on the next stage, end of June for the next round of talks. But today I must say it's a very special event here. This is a perfect, wonderful exhibition. We are particularly happy that all interested parties from Germany were invited. And of course on those grounds we are ready to share the joy of this exhibition with you.

The paintings are just some of the trophy art that Russia has recently admitted possessing.

Many Russians say that works seized from Germany should remain in Russia as compensation for the widespread destruction and brutality of the Nazi attack on Russia.

They note that German soldiers destroyed or looted many Russian cultural treasures that have not - or cannot - be replaced.
