We visited the city of Wuhu, about an hour away from Shanghai on the train to visit some Fantawild parks - famous for their massive dark rides and obscene theming! We try out a Harry Potter rip off ride, one of the worst coasters we've ever ridden and an inexplicably good Indiana Jones style dark ride. Enjoy!

Fantawild in Zhuzhou, Hunan fountain show 4-5-2015

I was looking for the bus stop when I realized the fountain in the mid area was doing a show. I am not sure if it was an actual show or just testing the equipment. My camera battery was low but took the chance to film it. There was almost no people nearby watching. I would see some people coming out of the amusement park and a few wandered by. In the video you can see one side was very wet from the wind spray. I wonder if they do this at night with lights. There was a sign in Chinese and some advertisements about a night show, but I will probably miss it unless I have a driver. The only bus that goes by ends at 6:30 pm and it's a long walk back. Of course I could try one of the black taxi drivers. The bus trip back to the area with other buses is a good fifteen minutes.

Fantawild in Zhuzhou, Hunan from abandon hotel's roof 4-5-2015

I had wandered around taking pictures outside the amusement park and the water park being built across the street when I realized the shopping complex next to it was basically abandoned. Even better was the three hotels next to it were also abandon. I walked up into the first one that looked really nice and could be on any beach tourist spot. It was basically gutted. I found a couple interesting things inside like some musical stage with characters that were bagged up for their protection. It was kind of eerie seeing the hand of one of the characters sticking out of the bag. I wandered up the stairs with no railings. I realized if I went high enough I could look into the park and see what type of rides they actually had on the portion of the park that was open. Half the park was still being built. I found a stairwell that went all the way to the roof. I would run into some homeless and a couple teens that found a love nest along the way. It was funny they were apologizing to me for interrupting them. There was two freaky rooms that had solid iron bars sealing the rooms and satellite dishes sticking out those windows. I made it to the roof to take some pictures and this little video looking into the park.
