Hawksnest Zip Line with Dede and Ken

Dede and Ken ride the ziplines at Hawksnest, North Carolina in hi def. See the mountain from Cabin in the Sky (cabininthesky.us) then ride along as they zip back and forth across the valley on Seven Devils, best known for winter sports, but now with a year round zip line. Hawksnest boasts 10 lines, the longest is 1800 feet. Fly through the trees and across creeks, some of the most spectacular lines in the world. Fasching is one of the few times each year the normally staid Germans let loose and have some fun. Traditionally, it is a time to act out, caricature government officials and just blow off some steam without fear of reprisals - all in good fun. The Fasching season begins at the 11th hour on the 11th day of the 11th month. This gives the Guilds in Germany plenty of time to create elaborate masks and costumes for the big celebration on the last night of the season before the fasting of Lent begins.

In Alpine Village of Helen, we too celebrate the last night of Fasching with a feast, music and merriment. So gather your friends and pick a theme. Bring your costumes and table decorations and help us celebrate Mardi Gras - German style. Contest for best costume in the Male, Female and couple category.

The best way to experience the Chattahoochee River is to get in it! Shoot the Hooch with Cool River Tubing. We've been keeping cool in the river since 1990. So grab your friends, your tube, and your push-off stick and let's chill! You can even stop about half way through your tube ride and hit our waterslides! At the end of your tour, our river staff will help you get out of the water at Chattahoochee Outpost. Dry off, warm up, and check out your photos upstairs!

And make sure you check our aerial adventure courses. The big adventure course is for adults, has 11 elements and a short zip line. The smaller adventure course has 5 elements and also has a short zip line.
Our zip line course has two aerial bridges and four lines where highly-trained guides take you soaring over the Chattahoochee River. Our 24' climbing wall has four lanes and a challenge for every skill level.
