Japan | Buddhist Temple Kinbyōzan Zuisen-ji | A Beautiful Walk in Early Spring
Kinbyōzan Zuisen-ji is a Buddhist temple off the beaten path, near Kamakura, Japan. It was founded in 1327 by Zen master and garden designer, Muso Kokushi. According to Kokushi, cultivation of the land meant cultivation of his mind. The hall carved from the mountain is used to appreciate the reflection of the moon on the water's surface.
It's early Spring, and the cherry blossoms have just started to show their faces.

Yamanouchi (Kita-Kamakura) and Kamakura are particularly beautiful in late Spring and can be conveniently accessed via Japan Rail from Yokohama.
Our video tour takes us from an overcast Yokohama to sunny Yamanouchi, where we regard Engakuji & Jochiji Temples. We move through Genjiyama Park to contemplate the amazing Great Buddha.
We wittness a traditional marriage ceremony at the Tsurugaoka Hachimangu Shrine and complete our Kamakura visit at Kenchoji, Zuisenji & Hokokuji Temples.
Back in Yokohama we perambulate the Sankei-en Garden where friendly cats bid us farewell.

紅葉ランキング上位を占める鶏足寺に行ってきました。
紅葉は、ピークを過ぎていましたが、となりの石道寺（syakudoji）の紅葉がピーク、ドンピシャでした。こちらの紅葉もきれいです。

TRIP TO KANAZAWA & INAMI, JAPAN
On short notice, I decided to take a break from Kyoto and all its agitation. On a map, my finger pointed to Kanazawa, a city northeast of Kyoto, famous for the many cultural attractions that were preserved from fire bombing during WWII. As I wanted to stay away from a big city, at least for the majority of my time, I selected Inami as my final destination. Inami is nestled in the mountains, one hour away by bus from Kanazawa. Famous for its Zuisen-ji temple, charming streetscape, and wood carvings, I was happy to spend a few days in this forsaken yet beautiful region.

Autumn in Japan Series: Hasedera Temple in Kamakura
こんにちは ! This is the first episode of my Autumn in Japan series. This video features Hasedera Temple, which is one of the top spots for autumn foliage viewing in Kamakura, Kanagawa prefecture. It wasn't the peak yet when my sister and I went to this place but it was the first day of the autumn illumination. It was still very beautiful and scenic. I'd love to go back to this place next week to see it turn crimson and orange. It was also rainy when we went there so we weren't able to go up the hill for safety reasons. Also, please excuse my voice in this video because I have a cold (since everyone is sick at this time of the year).

ココの庭園は開山夢窓疎石の作で国指定名勝です・・・庭から裏山の頂に続く道は現在は通行止めなので徧界一覧亭に行く事はできません。
山崎方代、吉野秀雄、大宅壮一、久保田万太郎の歌碑やどこも苦地蔵、むじな塚、そして四季折々の花の寺としても有名です！
水戸黄門こと徳川光圀はココで新編鎌倉志を編纂したといいます・・・
