Blue O Two - Best Of Wrecks (Egypt) PART ONE: The Salem Express, The Numidia & The SS Carnatic

Part One of the Best Of Wrecks tour we took with Blue O Two setting off into the Red Sea from Hurghada in Egypt.
The Wrecks...
...In Part One the order of the wrecks are:

The Salem Express was a roll on/roll off passenger ferry that sank shortly after midnight on the 17th December, 1991.
Max Depth on this dive was 29 metres with visibility of 20 metres +

El Ikhwa Islands commonly known as the Brothers Islands are situated around 500 metres apart and is a famous area because of the reef system, the wrecks of the Numidia and Aida and the opportunity to see sharks such as Oceanic Whitetip.

The Numidia crashed into the Islands reef and stayed there for several weeks before braking into two and sinking into a almost vertical position ranging from the shallows to 80 metres.

SS Carnatic was a British steamship. She Ran aground on Sha`b Abu Nuhas coral reef. The Carnatic had valuable cargo so was subject to a salvage operation.

All filming was done by The Water Bears on our own equipment which comprised of various GoPros and professional equipment (DSLRs) using Nauticam Housings. All moving images and stills are copyrighted by those who filmed.

Red Sea Blue Horizon

9th - 16th March 2018, Red Sea. We set sail from Hurghada on the M/Y Blue Horizon (BlueOTwo) to dive the North and Brothers Islands in the Red Sea.
The Dolphin was filmed playing at 'Dolphin House' outside Hurghada, Egypt. The wrecks we dived included the Dunraven, Thistlegorm, Gihanis D, Numidia and the Mine sweeper Minya.
The Sharks, which included Oceanic Whitetips, Grey Reef and Thresher sharks were all filmed at the Brothers Islands.
