I took my sister to the Mill recently as a treat and was so impressed with the experience! Staff were friendly, the venue is lovely, and the show itself was unforgettable! Only sad that we didn't discover the Mill sooner! It's located in the Dundrum Town Centre, so you can enjoy some retail therapy or a fancy meal before the performance. As is if this wasn't enough culture to go on, the Mill theatre is also has an impressive art gallery.

Joxer Daly Esq at dlr Mill Theatre Wednesday 13th November 2019
Sean O’Casey’s playful scrounger from the classic, Juno and The Paycock, takes centre stage in this intriguing new play from the pen of
Eddie Naughton (Inishfallen Fare The Well).
With events that were to alter the course of Irish history as a backdrop, Joxer Daly Esq. charts an everyman journey from respectable member
of The Foresters Association to a vagabond scraping by with only his wit to use as collateral.
From the 1913 Lock Out, to the Rising – and the events of O’Casey’s classic The Plough and the Stars – to the birth of a new divided Nationalism, in Juno and The Paycock, we see it all through the eyes of a survivor like no other. Joxer Daly is an ordinary person trying to navigate the difficult waters of what was Dublin in the period leading up to the birth of a Republic.
Brilliantly performed by Phelim Drew, Joxer’s love of language, humour, literature and song, together with a drinkers purple recollection, makes
this a performance like no other. Entertaining and funny, Joxer Daly Esq. is a thought provoking gander at one of Irish Literatures most loveable
chancers!
Phelim Drew’s powerhouse performance as the wild-eyed, shambling figure – Sunday Independent
Phelim Drew is convincing as Joxer – the archetypal, gravelly Dub – Sunday Times
Phelim Drew is perfect for the part. He is every inch a Joxer, – Irish Independent

THE LITTLE PRINCE 1st to 4th August 2018
BOOK NOW!
“What is essential is invisible to the eye”
Morgan Creative presents a dramatic re-imagining of Antoine Saint Exupery’s “The Little Prince” translated and adapted by Oisín Robbins. This contemporary performance uses multiple different art forms such as music and audio-visual work in order to bring the magical story to life.
The Little Prince is a fantastical adventure that explores growing up and how the imagination we are all born with can save us. Antoine, the narrator of the tale, is spending a few days repairing his airplane engine when he is visited by a boy that comes from another planet. In his bid to help Antoine survive the lonely days in the dessert, the Little Prince recounts his experiences hopping from one planet to the next, and in doing so, makes some startling revelations on adulthood, and what it means to live in this crazy, wonderful world of ours.
The production is family friendly and is most suitable for 6-12 year olds.

Rónán Murray at Culture Night in the Mill Theatre, Dundrum, Dublin
Here are the first four songs of my set as part of Culture Night at the Mill Theatre, performed to an appreciative little audience in an intimate cabaret style setting off to the side of the main auditorium. First up is The Dolphins by Fred Neil, then two cowrites with Tim Daly, She's Happy Now and A Thousand Ways to Fall. Last of the four is These Halls (What if I Redeemed You), a song I wrote when I was a seventeen year old student. Not included are the final two numbers, Levels of the Dream, also a cowrite with Tim, and Find me a Reason, the opening track of my 2006 album.

Patricia Burke Brogan's Eclipsed
dlr Mill Theatre
4th - 8th February 2020
Presented by dlr Mill Theatre Eclipsed by Patricia Burke Brogan is an award winning play set in A Magdalene Laundry during the 1960’s It is one of the first plays to tell the story of the Magdalene Laundries and was inspired by Patricia’s own experience as a young novitiate. Her play highlights the plight of four women who struggle to bear the austerity of their existence and desire to break the shackles of this landmark of societal repression. This is a poignant, funny, moving and sad play. We are starkly reminded of the brutal intolerance of ‘female deviance’ in our countries not so distant past while also being brought on a finely crafted journey of friendship, love, hope and survival
“I was brought into this huge space with these machines – the noise of the machines, the deafening noise – and then out of the haze I saw these women, young women, old women, and they looked at me like I was another of the people who’d locked them up . . . it was like I was in Dante’s inferno.” – Patricia Burke Brogan
