How to Hike Plitvice Lakes in a Stroller I Croatia Travel Vlog I Ep 10
This video shows how to hike Plitvice lakes with a stroller. Plitvice National Park is the largest national park in Croatia and is also a UNESCO world heritage site. Nature has crafted this amazing masterpiece with lots of love and care and the beauty of this place is simply mesmerizing. It's like a fairy world.
The park is famous for its cascading lakes and there are numerous hiking trails that takes you around these lakes. We took trail C and enjoyed it thoroughly although we were dead tired by the end.
Daily ticket prices depend on the season. Ticket price includes a boat ride on the lake, and the tourist train to take you back to the Park entrance. All trails do not have train ride. We didn’t take one.

CROATIA VLOG | PLITVICE LAKES
Croatia vlog | Plitvice lakes, this week’s video is the last one of the Croatian travel vlogs. We are heading off to Sicily, next, with some stops along the way.
But, back to this week’s vlog. I am hitting up Plitvice Lakes. This park is BEAUTIFUL. It was established as Croatia’s first national park in 1949 and then as a UNESCO WORLD HERITAGE site in 1979. With an area of just under 300 km, one could get lost here for days. Here is a sample of what this park has to offer.

Today we explored 16 miles of trails at Plitvice Lakes National Park in Croatia! The water here is just an incredible shade of blue-green, with waterfalls around every corner. We had so much fun meeting new friends along the way. After, we drove to Zagreb, the last city we'd see while in this amazing country.

Plitvice Lakes National Park is one of the oldest national parks in Southeast Europe and the largest national park in Croatia.
In 1979, Plitvice Lakes National Park was added to the UNESCO World Heritage register.
The national park was founded in 1949 and is situated in the mountainous karst area of central Croatia, at the border to Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The important north-south road connection, which passes through the national park area, connects the Croatian inland with the Adriatic coastal region.
The protected area extends over 296.85 square kilometres.
About 90% of this area is part of Lika-Senj County, while the remaining 10% is part of Karlovac County.
The Plitvice Lakes national park is heavily forested, mainly with beech, spruce, and fir trees, and features a mixture of Alpine and Mediterranean vegetation.
It has a notably wide variety of plant communities, due to its range of microclimates, differing soils and varying levels of altitude.
Scientists have so far listed 1,267 different plants out of 109 species that can be found within the area of the national park.
A great number of these plants and species is protected by law.
Within the national park area 55 different species of orchids can be found.
Rare fauna such as the European brown bear, wolf, eagle, owl, lynx, wild cat, and capercaillie can be found there, along with many more common species.
The area of the national park is home to an extremely wide variety of animal and bird species.
The rich fauna of the Plitvice Lakes can be summed up as follows:
As a whole, there exist about 50 species of mammals.
At the moment, scientists have discovered 321 different kinds of butterflies.
Furthermore, 12 amphibian species, as well as some species of reptiles have been ascertained.
As regards bird species, 157 species have been counted, of which 70 have been recorded as breeding there.
The Plitvice Lakes are also home to many kinds of bats.
Recent findings list about 20 different kinds of bat species
