WHAT A BLAST!!! Indoor Skydiving in Houston, Tx.
Well...never would guess I had 1,947 skydives and this was my 2nd time in a wind tunnel! Felt like an idiot, but an idiot enjoying himself none the less :) Staying within the confinement of a small 14' cylinder is no easy task LOL. If you have never tried this you need to. Google iFly Indoor Skydiving and find the one nearest you.

Description
Remembering Brad Woodard - KHOU Ch. 11 Houston
All of us at KHOU were very sorry to learn that our colleague and friend Brad Woodard passed away this week at his home in Houston. Authorities discovered his body Wednesday morning after a relative called police to check on him after Brad failed to return several phone calls. Investigators say there was no evidence of foul play.
Brad was very proudly an old school journalist, always quick to defend an underdog in need. Within the television news community, he was widely regarded as one of the best writers in the business.
We'll forever remember Brad as a kind man with a soft heart. He had two great passions---storytelling and animals. Frequently, Brad turned a light on those who abused or neglected innocent creatures and his work on animal abuse---and many other topics---won him multiple local, regional and national honors. One standout series was his investigative look exposing cruelty to animals used in research to produce pharmaceuticals. He won a highly-coveted Sigma Delta Chi Award for his feature on the death of the family farm. And he received the National Epilepsy Foundation Distinguished Journalism Award for his work providing an unprecedented glimpse into the life of a teenage boy living with epilepsy.
Brad joined KHOU 11 News in March of 2006 and reported for us until March of this year. Prior to arriving in Houston, he worked for 16 years at KARE-TV, the Gannett owned NBC affiliate in Minneapolis-St. Paul, where many of his award winning reports were done.
Before starting his television career, Brad served as an officer in the United States Air Force where he briefly flew jets.
He was a native of Hayesville, North Carolina, a small town nestled in the scenic mountains of Appalachia. Throughout his life, he was never happier than when a story took him out into the countryside.
Brad received a BA in Journalism from the University of Georgia in 1984, with minors in Russian and Music. He was also a graduate of the Pushkin Institute for Russian Language in Moscow.
Our thoughts and prayers are with Brad's family, which includes his parents and his two sisters. They are sad and so are we

Downtown Houston Adventures!!!
Somehow we ended up seeing the Texas shaped pool on top of the Marriot Marquis in Downtown Houston. We kinda sneaked in but not really, wouldn't really consider it but this was a great time and we look forward to going back in the summer when it's warmer outside! We do not condone or promote trespassing! What do you all think? Does your state or country have a pool shaped after it?

30 Way Spaceland, Rosharon, TX
During the POPS TX Record Camp and subsequent following Sequential Record attempts, this video was shot of one of our warm-up practice 30-ways. Exiting in 3 separate groups of 10, out of 3 separate twin otters flying in formation - from UNDER 10k starting altitude (due to low cloud ceiling), this was one of the 30-ways, built in time, and for practice leading up to the eventual 3-point, 30-way actual record jump, accomplished a little later in the camp. I can be seen approaching as a mid-late diver at approx the 7 o'clock position, in a mid-whacker position in the bottom whacke in the teal/purple gear, with orange highlight grippers and helmet.

US Military-Inflicted Domestic Terrorism In Houston, TX Jan. 28, 2013
HOUSTON (KTRK) -- The sight of Army helicopters and the sound of gunfire created a lot of concern Monday afternoon in one Houston neighborhood.
We received a lot of phones calls, Tweets and Facebook posts from worried neighbors, wondering what was going on.
SkyEye 13 HD was over the south side where at first look, it appeared there was a massive SWAT scene happening.
With military helicopters flying above her southeast Houston neighborhood, Frances Jerrals didn't know what to think.
When you see this, you think the worst. When you hear this, you think the worst, Jerrals said.
And so, she passed along her concern.
She told me 'don't come home it sounds like we're in a war zone. Guns, shooting, helicopters flying around the house,' Isaac Robertson Jr. said.
The U.S. Army along with other agencies took over the old Carnegie Vanguard High School near Scott and Airport. There were armed men in fatigues, plenty of weapons and what many thought were real live rounds
I felt like I was in a warzone. Jerrals said. It was nonstop. I was terrified.
Turns out, it was a multi-agency training drill that Jerrals wished would have come with warning.
They could have done a better job in notifying the neighborhood, Jerrals said.
The Army did not give any details of what the training is for. Some people we spoke to needed no explanation.
If it's to protect our kids, I'm all for it, neighbor Glenn DeWitt said.
