Finally caught the fish of my dreams! (Santo Vanuatu - part 1)
I finally did it! I thought this was going to be just a normal fishing trip, until a huge fish came along and hit my lure, and it was something very special! Rock fishing in Santo, Vanuatu is an amazing experience. I had a weekend off, and I spent it doing some light tackle saltwater fishing - casting lures off the rocks into crystal clear water for big fish, colourful fish and in this case, a fish I had been trying to catch for a very long time!
I couldn't believe that I could catch the fish of a lifetime on the rocks near my treehouse, but it happened, along with a few other surprises, it's truly a fishing paradise up in Santo Island, Vanuatu!

Very clear water, lots to photograph between 5 and 30m – you can spend most of your time around 20m and get some good bottom time, it is also near the drop off where you can see a number of clown fish colonies, and both macro and big stuff.
Nutter Kris Jump's 15+m in Luganville Vanuatu.
This Video was filmed whilst swimming in the Blue Hole in Luganville Vanuatu. This massive hole is blue due to it's limestone sides. Kris climbed the huge tree like the true nutter that he is and jumped. This was his second jump from that height. The water is far bluer in reality and you get a better idea of the height of the tree. Look carefully at the top of the screen to see how high the mad Ginger Ninja was before he jumped. I'm guessing he jumped from anywhere between 50 and 60 feet. :)

15.07.08: A slow view of produce for sale at the produce market in Luganville; Santo's largest town. Produce includes bananas, coconuts, wora wo (baskets) holding yams and manioc roots, bundles of taro, nous fruit, breadfruit, laplap leaf rolls and aelan cabbis on the table. Much activity happens under the tables, knock if you require service from the person feeding a child, working or resting below. Many mamas would stay overnight as happens in the Port Vila markets.
