Kundan jewellery is created by setting carefully shaped, cut and polished multicoloured gemstones into an exquisitely designed pure gold or faux metal base. The elaborate process begins with the skeletal framework called Ghaat. Thereafter, the Paadh procedure takes place, during which wax is poured onto the framework and moulded according to the design. Following this is the Khudai process, when the stones or uncut gems are fit into the framework. Meenakari then involves enameling to define the design details. Next, the Pakai process involves gold foils that hold the gems onto the framework; these are soldered. Finally, the gems are polished using the Chillai process.

He encouraged them to not only speak candidly about their concerns, but also asked the people present to address him as their equal. We are called politicians and political leaders, but the truth is, we are your soldiers...I don't have a magic wand. The only thing a politician has is credibility -- his word. I will not make false promises. I am not interested in that. I am in Politics for the long haul. This is first of a series of meetings. I want to build a long-term relationship with you, Rahul Gandhi told the gathering.
During the interaction, Rahul Gandhi spoke about unlocking the potential of millions of people who are working in factories as labourers. In today's politics, there is talk of caste, religion, state and so on. There is no politics on real issues. From these rooms that house the brass factories of Moradabad, you compete with Chinese factories, through the skills and energy of the artisans and the labourers. But in Indian politics, there is little room for debate on the issue of how to power these small factories and its workers he said.
Elaborating on the measures taken by the Congress led UPA government over the last decade, Rahul Gandhi said that the rights based framework has helped pull 15 crore people out of poverty and now the Congress Party aims to push 70 crore people who are currently below the middle class but above the poverty line, into the middle class. In addition to right to health and shelter, this target would be achieved through the industrial corridors being set up in the country which will generate millions of jobs for the youth.

Rājasthān, known as The land of kings, is the largest state of the Republic of India by area. It is located in the northwest of India. It comprises most of the area of the large, inhospitable Thar Desert, also known as the Great Indian Desert, which parallels the Sutlej-Indus river valley along its border with Pakistan to the west. Rajasthan is also bordered by Gujarat to the southwest, Madhya Pradesh to the southeast, Uttar Pradesh and Haryana to the northeast and Punjab to the north. Jaipur is the capital and the largest city of the state. Geographical features include the Thar Desert along north-western Rajasthan and the termination of the Ghaggar River near the archaeological ruins at Kalibanga of the Indus Valley Civilization, which are the oldest in the Indian subcontinent discovered so far.
Rajasthan's economy is primarily agricultural and pastoral. Wheat and barley are cultivated over large areas, as are pulses, sugarcane, and oilseeds. Cotton and tobacco are the state's cash crops. Rajasthan is among the largest producers of edible oils in India and the second largest producer of oilseeds. Rajasthan is also the biggest wool-producing state in India and the main opium producer and consumer. Rajasthan is culturally rich and has artistic and cultural traditions which reflect the ancient Indian way of life. There is rich and varied folk culture from villages which is often depicted and is symbolic of the state. Highly cultivated classical music and dance with its own distinct style is part of the cultural tradition of Rajasthan. The music is uncomplicated and songs depict day-to-day relationships and chores, more often focused around fetching water from wells or ponds.
Rajasthan attracted 14 percent of total foreign visitors during 2009--2010 which is the fourth highest among Indian states. It is fourth also in Domestic tourist visitors. Endowed with natural beauty and a great history, tourism is a flourishing industry in Rajasthan. Tourism accounts for eight percent of the state's domestic product. Many old and neglected palaces and forts have been converted into heritage hotels. Tourism has increased employment in the hospitality sector. Rajasthan is famous for its forts, intricately carved temples, and decorated havelis, which were built by Rajput kings in pre-Muslim era Rajasthan.
