This project is located in the Sanjiangkou area of Mawei New District, Fuzhou, China, facing the Minjiang River. Designed by the Finnish design master Pekka Salminen, the project covers an area of about 150,000 square meters.
The inspiration of the project design comes from Fuzhou's city flower --- jasmine, with 'five petals, one flower' as its overall design concept. The entire building bears a strong resemblance to a white jasmine, with each single building as jasmine’s ‘petal’. The five petals are: multi-purpose theater hall, Opera House, Concert Hall, Art Museum, Film and Television Center.
The entire building’s facade is clad with LOPO white glazed terracotta panels and glazed terracotta louvers.
LOPO China is honored to be part of this project and hopes to cooperate with more architects in the future to complete more world-class construction projects.

A video I made heading across Min-Jiang (Min River) from the Chang-le peninsula to the town of Ting-Jiang on a ferry boat. Sry for the shaky parts, I was checking my pockets to make sure I have everything I need for this trip. With me is my customized Azonic Mt. Bike. Going to ride up Gu-shan after a tour of Ting-jiang and vacinity. Road to Gu-shan is a bitch b/c of China's driving ethics.

I Want To Go To Fuzhou
Fúzhōu is a beautiful provincial capital most often passed through en route to other destinations in southern China. Its tea culture is renowned, though, and you’ll find plenty of purveyors along the banks of the Minjiang River. A short trip to the west lies Gu Mountain and its delightful, accessible hiking paths.

To celebrate the 70th anniversary of the founding of P. R. China, Fuzhou held a firework display beside Minjiang River in the evening of 1st October.
Nanping
Nanping (Chinese: 南平; pinyin: Nánpíng) is a prefecture-level city in northwestern Fujian province, China. It borders Ningde City to the east, Sanming City to the south, and the provinces of Zhejiang and Jiangxi to the north and west respectively. Part of the famous Wuyi Mountains range is located in this prefecture. Its population was 2,645,549 at the 2010 census whom 467,875 lived in the built-up (or metro) area made up of Yanping urban district.
Nanping is a picturesque old city, located on a hill near the fall of the Jianxi (建溪) River into the Min, and surrounded by high stone walls. These high walls were used to prevent artillery fire. They formed a considerable obstacle to anything hostile in past conflicts

Fuzhou, formerly romanized as Foochow, is the capital and one of the largest cities in Fujian province, China. Along with the many counties of Ningde, those of Fuzhou are considered to constitute the Mindong (lit. Eastern Fujian) linguistic and cultural area.
Fuzhou's core counties lie on the north (left) bank of the estuary of Fujian's largest river, the Min River. All along its northern border lies Ningde, and Ningde's Gutian County lies upriver. Fuzhou's counties south of the Min border on Putian, Quanzhou, Sanming and Nanping prefectures. Its population was 7,115,370 inhabitants as of the 2010 census, of whom 4,408,076 inhabitants are urban representing around 61.95%, while rural population is at 2,707,294 representing around 38.05 percent. Fuzhou is listed as No.20 in China Integrated City Index 2016's total ranking, a study conducted by National Development and Reform Commission.
