Sri Vrindavan Dham, the transcendental place of Sri Krishnas
Vrindavan is a historical City in the Mathura district of Uttar Pradesh, India. It is one of the main locations in the Braj Bhoomi region, and is also where, according to Hinduism, Lord Krishna spent his childhood days. The town is about 11 km away from Mathura, Krishna's birthplace on the Agra-Delhi highway. The town hosts many temples dedicated to the worship of Radha and Krishna and is considered sacred by Vaishnavism.

Haven’t you wondered if the famous Ras Leela of Bal Gopal and the gopis really did take place? Haven’t you imagined the scene, the music and the passion? Well, there is, indeed, a place in Vrindavan where it is said that Lord Krishna still visits every night with all his “sakhis”.
Nidhivan Temple in Vrindavan, near Mathura, is the mysterious place where this divine dance occurs. Local legend goes that in the Nidhivan temple, “Thakurji”, as Krishna is known to the locals, arrives after nightfall and performs his spiritual activities, known as Lilas with Radhaji and all the gopis. Thus, its not just about the dance but a divine expression.

On the banks of the Yamuna River, in an ancient and sacred town in India, the Kirtaniyas conjure their latest offering to world: a charity single supporting the education and maintenance of 1,500 local lower-caste girls. The Kirtaniyas, themselves vibrant creations of a cross-cultural existence, draw two vastly different worlds together through their highly contagious dedication to kirtan, reigniting a movement towards compassionate living and integral community. Sung in both Hindi and English, by the Kirtaniyas themselves and the very children whom this projects aids, ‘In Vrindavan’ revives an old Braj folk song celebrating the land’s divine heroine and hero, and bears a strong environmental message in its expressed love of the river and the beautiful bygone forests of Vrindavan. Rooted in the Bhakti-yoga values of love and devotion, the Kirtaniyas return to Vrindavan to assist in the survival of its residents, its indigenous culture and its environment, sharing with us its deep and powerful traditions of nonviolence, truthfulness, selfless-service and above all, kirtan as a communal and all-inclusive pathway to peace and harmony.

I've visited India over 14 times and spent a total of three years of my life in this sacred land of Vrindavan. Its culture offers so much to the world from agriculture, Dharma, community and music amongst other things, all in their most essential forms - Bhakti Yoga. This song was inspired by folk songs of the land, which speak about walking through Vrindavan’s flower groves and forests in fellowship, singing to its Divine couple - Radha and Syama (a name of Krishna), who are the epitome of pure love and beauty, the sacred river Yamuna that provided water to the land and its people. This way of life has been kept alive through the hearts of the people in the community who have imbibed its moods of pure love and devotion (Bhakti) and carry it with them, sharing Bhakti through their acts of selfless service but the benefit of One and all.
Each time I visit the Food for Life school in Vrindavan, I am a witness to the impressive development of its projects and values. I see how their schooling has cultivated love and compassion in the hearts of these children. Their school day starts in a way that I could only have dreamed about when I was a child : a good kirtan with cheerful, inspirational singing and dancing. This is a place where children are taught to honor their elders and have respect for one another, where folding hands in a prayer is a beautiful thing, rather than something to be ashamed of… We can certainly learn a thing or two in our Western society from such an establishment. Whilst this school might not be comparable to most Western schools with regards to facilities, what these children have taught me is that their education and upbringing can certainly offer us lessons in gratitude. “In Vrindavan” is me giving something back in return and I give thanks for the opportunity to serve in this way.”

SRI SRI KRISHNA BALARAM MANDIR - VRINDAVAN, INDIA.
Sri Krishna-Balaram Mandir is a Gaudiya Vaishnava temple in the holy city of Vrindavan. It is one of the main ISKCON temples in India and internationally. Hare Krishnas from all over the world can be seen here year-round, which adds color to this ancient ethnic holy city.
Sri Krishna-Balaram Mandir was built in 1975 on the orders of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, the founder-acharya of the International Society for Krishna Consciousness (ISKCON). Even today, it is regarded as one of the most popular temples in Vrindavan. Klaus Klostermaier in his book Hinduism: A Short History described it as, a big and beautiful temple and one of the main sights of Vrindavan.
The deities of the temple are Sri Sri Krishna and Balarama, at the central altar. On the right altar are Sri Sri Radha Krishna with Gopis, Lalita and Vishakha. On the left altar is a Murti of Sri Chaitanya Mahaprabhu with Sri Nityananda, and of Srila Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada and his spiritual teacher Srila Bhaktisiddhanta Sarasvati Thakura. Of all the temples in Vrindavan Krishna-Balaram Mandir, adopted one of the highest standards of cleanliness and of deity worship.
Near the temple, at the entrance to the complex is located samadhi shrine of Bhaktivedanta Swami Prabhupada, built of pure white marble.
Vrindavan Parikrama
Vrindavan Parikrama is a spiritual walk undertaken by devotees around Vrindavan town in Uttar Pradesh. It has no particular start or end place. As long as you end at the same place you start, the purpose is served. One possible path is to start from the famous ISKCON temple, covers a distance of 10 km (6.2 mi)in about three hours. It is generally done on Ekadasi (eleventh lunar day of the waxing and waning of Moon). The route followed is from ISKCON temple, walk close to the Krishna Balarama Temple, the Krishna-Balarama tree, Gautam Rishi's Ashrama (located on the left while on the right is Varaha Ghata), the Kaliya Ghata, Madana Mohana Temple with red sandstone tower, small wooden bridge, to Imli Tala, the Imli Tala tree, Sringara Vata (on the right), the Kesi Ghat (one of the famous Monuments in Vrindavan), the Tekari Rani temple, the Jagannatha temple and the small temple of Lord Chaitanya Mahaprabhu and in the final stretch cross the Mathura-Vrindavan road. After crossing this road, after another 1 km walking, reach the starting point of the Parikrama. During the Parikrama, one chants the mantras (Jap or Hymns ) within, uses body power (Tap) to accomplish the Parikrama and keeps a fast (not eat anything) (Vrata) till the Parikrama is completed.
