A PERFECT PORTUGAL ROAD TRIP | BRAGA, GUIMARÃES + PENEDA-GERÊS
It’s time to go on a road trip in Portugal! If you saw my last Portugal vlog, you’ll know that I spent one week in Porto. I was there to explore because it was my first time in Portugal, but I ended up having to work most of the week - oops! So, I decided to squeeze some of the best towns in Northern Portugal (and the best days trip from Porto) into one day and take a little Portugal road trip. I wanted to write a guide to Northern Portugal with some easy day trips from Porto on my travel blog, so I choose a few places that I wanted to include: Braga, Guimarães and the beautiful Peneda-Gerês National Park.
I hope you enjoy joining us on this Portgual road trip. I would have loved to have done these trips separately and spent more time in Braga, Guimarães + Peneda-Gerês National Park, but sadly my week in Porto was already coming to an end. Still, I’m glad I managed to see a good amount of Northern Portugal and it’s always nice to have a reason to come back - something I’m sure will happen very soon :)
Thanks for joining me on this little Portugal road trip to Braga, Guiaraes and Penedea-Geres National Park. As always, thanks for watching and see you in the next one!

Waterfalls, grapes and views. Nature in Portugal - Peneda-Gerês National Park
On a foggy day in Porto we decided to take the car and drive about 140km seeking for the Sun and nature in Gerês National Park. We did good
Hiking in Peneda-Gerês National Park and Climbing The Steps of Bom Jesus do Monte
Video Shot on December 30th, 2018
Another wonderful day spent exploring Portugal in the Peneda-Gerês National Park (Parque Nacional Peneda-Gerês). What I found most interesting about this place is that depending where you go, even 10-20km apart, the climate seems to change. Away from sources of water it seems like a dry Texas climate, but only 20km there is lush patches of grass and an abundance of trees.
The second part of our day we visited the Steps of Bom Jesus do Monte. The monastery is located outside of Braga, and it's a good workout of about 116 meters of stairs to see. It can be accessed by car, but to fully experience this majestic monastery, one should climb from the base to the steps of monastery. At the top of the Tenoes hill, there has been one structure or another since 1373, when a chapel was originally constructed. The current structure was built during the 18th century. It was a wonderful place to watch the sunset whilst sampling some delectable Portuguese pastries and wine.

Queda do Vigário Waterfall in Alte | Algarve, Portugal
This waterfall located in the town on Alte in Algarve, Portugal is called Queda do Vigário and its a very beautiful place that not many people know about.
A I manage to get some time off from work I went back home to Algarve Portugal to visit my family and friends. In this morning I took my parents and we went to visit the Queda do Vigario waterfall in Alte.
I used to study in Alte for 3 years and this place reminds me a lot of good things and some of them include the waterfall and the fountain in Alte.
This is a very good place to come with family and friends if you are visiting the Algarve Portugal and you don't know what to do in Algarve.
There are many things to do in Algarve and the Queda do vigario in Alte is a beautiful spot for picnics during summer. You can also visit the fountain which is just upstream.
This waterfall in Alte is one of the best things to do in Algarve, there is also another waterfall and I made another video about it on the link below:
Alte is located in the Algarve, south of Portugal and its a very traditional town with lots of culture to explore. If you are around visit Alte and this waterfall in Alte. For sure you will have a great day.
