Valle de los CaidosSan Lorenzo De El Escorial The Valle de los Caídos is a Catholic basilica and a monumental memorial in the municipality of San Lorenzo de El Escorial, erected at Cuelgamuros Valley in the Sierra de Guadarrama, near Madrid, conceived by Francisco Franco to honour and bury those who died in the Spanish Civil War. Franco claimed that the monument was meant to be a national act of atonement and reconciliation. The Valley of the Fallen, as a surviving monument of Franco's rule, and its Catholic basilica remain controversial, in part since 10% of the construction workforce consisted of convicts, who voluntarily, in exchange for a reduction of sentence, decided to collaborate. LIFE11+ Operación CO2 - Entrevista a Fernando Díez, Alcalde de Frómista
El Alcalde de Frómista, Don Fernando Díez, y su equipo inician la plantación de almendros en una senda medioambiental en el municipio de Fromísta, lugar emblemático por donde habitualmente pasan cerca de 100.000 peregrinos que se dirigen a Santiago de Compostela. El Consorcio del Proyecto Operación CO2, comparte las lecciones aprendidas durante su ejecución en donde han tenido que plantar diferentes especies de árboles en diversas zonas de España. Además, van a realizar una prueba utilizando micorrizas así como el uso de cajas de agua para evitar la irrigación durante el primer año.
