20150826 BeachThe upper part of the beach is occupied by crabs and mollusks Grapsidae Littorinidae and Muricidae. The bottom of these beaches is one of the most biodiverse coastal ecosystems in the mediterraneo presenting a fauna of almost all groups of marine benthic organisms, mainly gastropods Columbelliade families, Buccinidae, Neritidae, bivalves of families and Arcidae Cardiitidae , crabs and Porcellanidae Xanthidae families, echinoderms (brittle stars and sea urchins), flatworms, polychaetes, bryozoans, sponges, sea squirts and Hydrozoans cavities that can live on the rocks, or under or within these, protection against desiccation and predators.
La parte superiore della spiaggia è occupata da granchi e molluschi grapsidae Littorinidae e Muricidae. La parte inferiore di queste spiagge è uno degli ecosistemi costieri più biodiversità del mediterraneo, che presentano una fauna di quasi tutti i gruppi di organismi bentonici marini, gasteropodi principalmente famiglie Columbelliade, Buccinidae, Neritidae, bivalvi delle famiglie e Arcidae Cardiitidae , granchi e famiglie Porcellanidae Xanthidae, echinodermi (stelle fragili e ricci di mare), vermi piatti, policheti, briozoi, spugne, ascidie e cavità idrozoi che possono vivere sulle rocce, o sotto o all'interno di questi, la protezione contro essiccazione e predatori.
La parte superior de la playa está ocupada por los cangrejos y crustáceos Grapsidae Littorinidae y Muricidae. La parte inferior de estas playas es uno de los ecosistemas costeros de mayor biodiversidad del Mar mediterraneo, que tienen una fauna de casi todos los grupos de gasterópodos bentónicas marinas, principalmente familias Columbelliade, Buccinidae, Neritidae, familias bivalvos y Cardiitidae arcidae, cangrejo y familias Cangrejo de la porcelana Xanthidae, equinodermos (estrellas de mar y erizos de mar), platelmintos, poliquetos, briozoos, esponjas, ascidias y hidroideos cavidades que pueden vivir en las rocas o en o dentro de éstos, la protección contra depredadores y secado. Playa de Poniente -
Located in the resort of Motril is the popular beach Playa Poniente. Over 2200 meters in length and over 110 meters wide the beach of grey fine sand is a great size and attracts many visitors who enjoy its fabulous characteristics. With an array of facilities and activities from beach sports to watersports and with many shops, restaurants and bars located in close proximity, it's no surprise that the beach can become busy especially in peak season. The one advantage of this beach is that you never feel crowded due to it's size but you still can feel the lively fun ambience. We do advise that you take caution when swimming as this particular location can experience strong currents.
Puerto de Motril - Granada 2015 ENG
The Port of Motril has at its disposal 7 commercial and one fishing dock which in total add up to 3,127 lineal metres of docking space.
The Logistical Activities Zone occupies 450,000 square metres of industrial land for the establishment of enterprises, the equivalent of 70 football fields.
The total goods traffic which is moved in the Port of Motril adds up to 2 million tons.
Motril has the necessary installations for verifying the standard of quality of the vegetaable products for human and animal consumption, whether perishable or non-perishable.
From the Port of Motril, it´s possible to accede directly to the Mediterranean or A44 motorways.
It is the only port with 3 airports, one of them international, a mere one hour away. It is also the nearest Andalusian port to Madrid and to the north eastern part of the African continent.
From the Port of Motril three regular sea routes operate with Melilla and the Moroccan cities of Nador and Alhuecemas for passenger and goods traffic.
Its strategic geographical position and its modern installations have situated it in second position in Spain as regards the number of passengers within the so-called Straits Passage Operation.
In the Port of Motril 242 cruise ships have made stopovers since 2006 with 80,000 passengers aboard.
The Port and local government have instigated a quality award for all the establishments of the Tropical Coast of Granada. The cruise companies choose us because of our personal treatment and our services.
The Port is situated just 5 minutes from the city centre of Motril, with a population of 60,000 inhabitants.
