EXPLORING the BEACHES of MYKONOS: the GOOD, the BAD and the SUPER UGLY (GREECE)
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to one of the world's most famous island, the Greek island of Mykonos and let's visit a few of its 27 (official) beaches. We are going to visit the beaches of Ornos, Paradise, Super Paradise, Agios Stephanos, Agia Anna, Kalafatis, Platis Yialos (and others) and we will place the beaches into 3 categories: the Good (meaning, I liked them), the Bad (meaning they were ok, there is something annoying about them) and the Ugly (which really means I disliked them). At the end, we will see the last undeveloped beach (which will be taken over and will be completely changed within a year).
The first 3 beaches, ELIA, KALAFATIS and KALO LIVADHI - you will need transportation (I had a motorcycle, which was ok) to get to. AGIOS STEFANOS is the closest to the main town and you can there in 10 minutes by bus, it is very close to the new port or the main marina; AGIA ANNA, you will need transportation as well; ONOS, you can there by bus from the main town (10 minutes by bus), sae with PLATIS YIALOS (or GIALOS); PANORMOS, you will need transportation, it is quite far; and finally, for both, PARADISE and SUPER PARADISE BEACH, you will need your own transportation.. I mentioned the names of the beaches here in the order that they appear on the video!!
Mykonos is an island in the Cyclades group in the Aegean Sea. It's popularly known for its summer party atmosphere. Beaches such as Paradise and Super Paradise have bars that blare thumping music. Massive dance clubs attract world-renowned DJs and typically stay open well past dawn. Iconic landmarks include a row of 16th-century windmills, which sit on a hill above Mykonos town.

Naxos - Greece Trip
Naxos, Greece Trip - Visit Naxos, Greece - Tourism & Vacations in Naxos, Greece
Travel Videos HD, World Travel Guide
Naxos the largest of the Cyclades island group in the Aegean. It was the centre of archaic Cycladic culture. The island is famous as a source of emery, a rock rich in corundum, which until modern time was one of the best abrasives available.
The largest town and capital of the island is Chora or Naxos City, with 6,533 inhabitants (2001 census). The main villages are Filoti, Apiranthos, Vivlos, Agios Arsenios, Koronos and Glinado.
Tourism
===========
Naxos is a popular tourist destination, with several ruins. It has a number of beaches, such as those at Agia Anna, Agios Prokopios, Alikos, Kastraki, Mikri Vigla, Plaka, and Agios Georgios, most of them near Chora. As other cycladic islands, Naxos is considered a windy place perfect for windsurfing, as well as kitesurfing. There are seven sports clubs in the island that offer both of these sports and other water activities.
Agriculture
============
Naxos is the most fertile island of the Cyclades. It has a good supply of water in a region where water is usually inadequate. Mount Zeus (1003 metres) is the highest peak in the Cyclades, and tends to trap the clouds, permitting greater rainfall. This has made agriculture an important economic sector with various vegetable and fruit crops as well as cattle breeding, making Naxos the most self-sufficient island in the Cyclades. Naxos is also known within Greece for its potatoes.

GREECE, EXPLORING ISLAND of NAXOS, the BEST BEACH to visit
SUBSCRIBE: - Let's go to Naxos which is a Greek island in the South Aegean, the largest of the Cyclades island group. Its fertile landscape spans mountain villages, ancient ruins and long stretches of beach. The namesake capital (also called Hora or Chora) is a port town filled with whitewashed, cube-shaped houses and medieval Venetian mansions.
We are going to visit 5 beaches and we will decide which is the best one: 1) The beach of Agios Georgios or what the tourists call Saint George, is the main tourist area of the island and despite the number of hotels, restaurants, bars and tourist shops it is a very enjoyable place to be, if you like windsurfing, water-sports, people watching and if you have children because the sea is very shallow. 2) and 3) The beaches of Agios Prokopis and Agia Anna are a little quieter but also very popular and there are rows of umbrellas and beach chairs that you can rent. Many hotels provide them for free so ask if you are staying nearby. These beaches though crowded in places are long enough so you can always find somewhere semi-private. These two beaches are considered by many to be the most beautiful in Greece with clear turquoise water that makes every picture you take look like a postcard or an advertisement for a Caribbean holiday. 4) Further on, the beach at Plaka is considered by others to be the best beach on the island with about five kilometers of golden sand. 5) The town of Apollonos (photo), on the far northern tip of the island has a large sandy cove and some restaurants and hotels and the feel of being on another island altogether.

Evia, Greece The Whole of Greece in Just One island HD
Firs and tamarisks, imposing mountains and endless beaches, fish and game, “drakospita” (dragon houses) and lighthouses, the Edipsos thermal springs, old monasteries, waterfalls, ravines, industrial monuments, stone-built guesthouses, the Cavo Doro Cape… and one capital, Chalkida, friendly and affordable, ideal for endless promenades by the sea. Yes, Evia, one of the most impressive greek islands, with its unique beauty, looking out towards the Aegean Sea, holds the whole of Greece within its shores !North, central or south? Whichever route you choose, touring around Evia will be a delight. In the north you will find countless fragrant pine forests, old monasteries such as Galataki and Osios David, the beautiful settlement of Limni Evias, the Drimonas waterfalls and Edipsos. In central Evia there is Dirfis and its alpine landscapes. Sumptuous beaches dominate the north-east side of the island, along with the mediaeval towers at Messapia and the byzantine churches at Avlonas. In the southern part of the island discover the land of the winds, with the enigmatic “drakospita” (dragon houses), the Ohi mountain range, the enchanting Dimosaris gorge, the Eretria archaeological treasures and the mediaeval castles at Aliveri, Stira and Karistos.There is a magnificent beach hidden around every bend on Evia. In the north, discover the beaches of Edipsos, Politikon, Limnionas, Kavos, Gregolimanos and, of course, everyone’s favorite, Agia Anna – Agkali. In central Evia you will find the famous Hiliadou with its lush vegetation, sand and pebbles of every shape and size and its sea cave that is just begging to be explored. The beach took its name from the small byzantine church of Panagia Hiliadou – meaning the thousandth –as, according to tradition, this was the thousandth church built by Empress Theodora. Here you will also find Mourteri beach, loved by wind and kite-surfers, Eretria beach, Agios Merkourios, Kalamos and Korasida. In the south, the beaches of Nea Stira, Limnionas Stiron, Xrysi Ammos and the popular Figia will welcome you into their turquoise waters.Famous since antiquity thanks to the unique properties of their waters, the Edipsos springs help heal the body and soul. To the never-ending line of emperors and roman generals that have visited the area’s baths, you may add 19th and 20th century prime ministers, writers and ship-owners. Immerse yourself in the healing waters, admire Thermae Sylla -a neoclassical masterpiece built around an impressive tower- marvel at the old baths designed by Ernst Ziller, breath in the sea breeze and feel reborn ! Honestly, the inhabitants of Chalkida are totally sane , despite the peculiar behaviour of the waters under the old Chalkida Bridge, which change direction on a whim every six hours. The reason for this phenomenon? The moon’s gravity, as well as the difference in sea level between the north and south Evoikos Gulfs. Fresh fish and sea food, endless promenades along the quay with its cafes and restaurants, important sights such as the Kokkino Spiti (Red House) of 1884, the House with the Statues, the archaeological museum and the Mayor’s Hall, whose architecture features baroque and Italian eclecticism elements, all make up the unique character of Evia’s sunny capital.
