Al Ahmadi is a city founded in 1946 with the discovery of oil there, located in Al Ahmadi Governorate, Kuwait. It is called the city of oil because it has a lot of oil. Al Ahmadi is a district located in the south of the country. It contains the headquarters for the Kuwait Oil Company . Locally, Al Ahmadi is called the 'home of KOC' because of the large number of Kuwait Oil Company oil refineries located here. Also, Ahmadi is known for its beautiful parks and it is the greenest place in Kuwait.

Yasmin farms - Wafra | A must Visit Place in Kuwait

Yasmin Farms can be called as 'greenery in the desert' which is an unusual treat to our eyes. Everything right from fresh milk products to fresh fruits and vegetables are produced here. The beautiful climate controlled greenhouses are worth to watch.

This location is almost 115 Km from Kuwait city and situated in Al-Wafra area which can easily be explored via google maps. Yasmin Farm is owned by AlBan Dairy and their products are also available at Sultan Center. Anyone can visit Yasmin farms from 8 AM to 8 PM daily but preferable to go on weekends.

There is a free entry to the farm until certain point and to visit the cattle farms there are tickets at a cost of 3 KD. The farm has a small cafeteria, a store selling their fresh products and a wide variety of dairy products and play area for kids. A golf cart can also be hired there. Plan a full day picnic and bring your own food. Fresh milk ice cream can be taken from the farm's store.

Wafrah is a place in Kuwait which is best to visit during winter months. You will get a chance to see how farmers grow day-to-day vegetables like Cabbage / Green Chilly / Tomatoes etc .
