THIS is why all drivers should have a dash cam
I've been asked by several times why I have a dash-cam in my car. This is why.
I commute over 100 miles every day. My husband and I commute together and at least once per month, some idiot nearly hits us - but we witness other people nearly getting hit every single day at least once on the way to work and at least once on the way home. People are skyping, texting, playing games, picking their noses - you name it.
The morning of this video (05/25/2016), at 7:20 a.m., a self-entitled moron nearly ran me off the road. I laid on my horn, but this woman could care less. She had a bigger car and was coming over. You can see her coming in from the right and then me having to swerve to the shoulder on the left to avoid being flattened. The bumps on the shoulder cause a lot of shake to the camera. This is a phenomenon we see all the time - people completely ignoring car horns. COMPLETELY ignoring them. Not looking, not flipping you off, just being deaf on purpose.
If this woman had hit me, my dash cam would have proven who was at fault.
I have sent a link to this video to the police in the area in which this occurred.
