Elora, Ontario: Driving Tour (March 10, 2018)
We did this driving tour of Elora, Ontario on March 10, 2018. The town has a population of just under 8,000 and is part of the greater Centre Wellington, which in turn is part of Wellington County.
Located along the Grand River, the town is known for its historic 19th century limestone architecture. The highlight of the historic downtown is the Elora Mill, a building erected in the 1830's, originally as a sawmill, now being renovated as a luxury inn and spa.
Seen at the start of the video on the left hand side, heading in from nearby Fergus, Ontario, is the Elora Quarry Conservation Area. This is a popular swimming spot within a former limestone quarry and adjacent to the Grand River.
You can see our video on nearby Fergus here:

Kitchener, Ontario: Driving Around Downtown (2017)
A drive through downtown Kitchener, Ontario, Canada on August 8, 2017. Starting on Victoria Street, we turn left on King Street, traveling the length of downtown before turning right on Madison Ave. and right again on Charles Street to travel back to Victoria Street. We then turn right onto Duke Street to complete the tour.
Kitchener, Ontario is a city located 100 kilometres west of Toronto. Now the seat of the Regional Municipality of Waterloo, Kitchener was founded in 1833 and incorporated as the town of Berlin in 1853. Incorporation as a city came in 1912 and the Berlin name stuck until 1916.
The population of Kitchener is 233,000 (up from 150,000 in 1986) and the metro population is around 525,000 with that number including Waterloo and Cambridge.
Seen throughout the video is the Grand River Transit's Light Rail Transit line. This system of electric trains is slated to start operation in 2018. The downtown portion looks to be mostly complete. The LRT will connect Conestoga Mall in Waterloo to Fairview Park Mall in Kitchener via a 19 KM line. In the end, their will be 36 kilometres of rail line with 22 stops connecting the three major centres of Cambridge, Kitchener and Waterloo.
We have a video of the adjacent city of Waterloo, ending pretty much where this video starts. Check it out here:
Brampton, Ontario: Touring Around Downtown (February, 2018)
A POV video traveling around the downtown core of Brampton, Ontario, along with a cruise along Queen Street to Highway 410. Brampton, located just northwest of Toronto, was incorporated as a village in 1853 and as a city in 1974. Now part of the Peel Region, the city has a population over 600,000.

Simcoe County Winter Fun
From Alliston to Rama, & Collingwood to Bradford, Simcoe County has the best activities & attractions to be found anywhere. The shaping of Canada is part of Simcoe Countie's heritage, and continues to be a one stop shop for activities year round from serene to extreme. I love it here, and pinch myself every day that I can work & play in such a magnificent area.
Did I mention Georgian Bay and Lake Simcoe??
Newmarket, Ontario: Driving Through In November, 2017
First off, if you just want to see the historic downtown of Newmarket, Ontario, Canada, jump to 5:18 of the video. The whole video starts on Highway 9 / Davis Drive, coming into town from the west. We turn right onto Main Street and loop around the old downtown area, via Timothy Street, Prospect Street and Water Street. We end the video at Davis Drive and Highway 404.
Newmarket is located north of Toronto and south of Barrie in Central Ontario. Sandwiched between the main corridors of highway 400 and highway 404, the population of this 'town' is 85,000 and growing fast.
Settled in 1801, Newmarket was incorporated as a town in 1880 and is the seat for York Region. Primarily a bedroom community, the downtown does not reflect the population. As you'll see, the actual downtown of Newmarket looks more fitting for a town of 20,000 to 30,000.

The city can be accessed via the Trent-Severn Waterway and Lake Simcoe.
Angus-Ontario-Essa-Township
The Township of Essa is unique in its location, as it is truly a place Where Town and Country Meet. As a result, residents of Essa get to enjoy the many amenities and benefits offered by not only the Township of Essa, but its surrounding municipalities due to the close proximity of Essa to Alliston and Barrie.
