Noted to be one of the oldest lakes in Sikkim, Lampokhari is a mesmerizing emerald boot-shaped lake. It is placed at an altitude of 4600 feet and is 1120 feet long and 240 feet wide. Also known as Aritar Lake, it is surrounded by rich green pine forests making it look even more stunning. The main highlight about this natural lake is its boating facility and a pathway that has been constructed around the lake for tourists to look at itfrom different angles. The pine forest around the lake adds more charm and captivates the visitors here. There is also a small shrine on the banks of the lake dedicated to Guru Padmasambhava.
Getting There
Lampokhari Lake is located in Aritar and it is easily reachable since it is located not far from the main town.
Things to Do & See in and around
This lake is popular for boating, hence, you can paddle around the boot shaped lake and enjoy every moment being one with nature. You can also hike up the pathway towards Mankhim and get a spellbinding view of the valleys and lake. You can also visit the Mankhim temple that is positioned right beside the lake.
Best Time to Visit
The best time to visit this lake is from March to May since the weather remains pleasant and cool.

Tourist place_Changu, Sikkim, India...one of the enjoyable places for tourists.
Here, tourists are enjoying cold weather in Summer. India has different climates in the same season. This plase is near Changu Lake in eastern Sikkim in northeast India. Here, they are playing with ice in the month of May, whereas people suffer from high temperature in southern India in the same month(season) every year and look for cool weather....!

The northern Part of Indian State West Bengal is popular for its Stunning scenic beauty. Here you can enjoy snow capped Himalayan Mountains, lush green forests of Dooars, many rare species of flora and fauna. Here are a short 3 Nights 4 Days tour package of North Bengal which covers some untapped tourist places of this region. These locations are also a part of old Silk Route. Let’s begin.
Day 01:
First reach New Jalpaiguri railway station or Bagdogra airport first. From there take a car and go to Sillery gaon- the 1st destination of Silk Route tour via Kalimpong & Prodong. The distance of Sillery gaon from NJP is 99 Km and it will take around 4 hrs to reach Sillery Gaon from NJP.
Situated at an altitude of 6000 ft Sillery is a cool hamlet nestled among Himalayan Mountains. The place is famous for natural beauty.
In the evening go to RamiteyDara to view Sunset.
Day-2:
On Day 2 morning go to Icche Gaon from Sillery. The distance is 15.9 Km and it will take around 1 hour to reach Icche Gaon from Sillery by car.
In Icche Gaon, enjoy a walk around the Icche Forest. This is an unexplored place and you can enjoy serenity here. On a clear day, you can see majestic Mount Kanchenjungha from here.
Day-3:
On day-3 morning go to Ramdhura from Icche Gaon. The distance of Ramdhura from Icche Gaon is 3 Km. Car service is available or you may enjoy trekking in this route. Ramdhura is a place in North Bengal surrounded by pine forests and famous for the panoramic view of Mount Kanchenjungha and the beautiful River Teesta. It is an ideal place for nature lovers.
