Its name has the meaning Świna mouth, which is a city and seaport on the Baltic Sea and Szczecin Lagoon, located in the extreme north-west of Poland.
Świnoujście directly borders the German seaside resort of Ahlbeck on Usedom, both are freely connected by a street and by 12 km (7 mi) of beach promenade.
It is very good for spend the weekend or holidays. You can enjoy the polish food and beach, and then change to the German side to feel the different.
Few people but friendly in this peaceful city. I like there.
