The Kunstmuseum Liechtenstein is the state museum of modern and contemporary art in Vaduz, Liechtenstein. The building by the Swiss architects Meinrad Morger, Heinrich Degelo and Christian Kerez was completed in November 2000. Originally a parish church, it has held the status of cathedral since 1997. It was built in 1874 by Friedrich von Schmidt on the site of earlier medieval foundations. Its patron saint is Florinus of Remüs , a 9th-century saint of the Vinschgau Valley. The Archdiocese of Vaduz was erected by Pope John Paul II in the apostolic constitution Ad satius consulendum 2 December 1997. Gutenberg Castle in Balzers, Liechtenstein

Gutenberg Castle in Balzers, Liechtenstein is one of 5 castles in the principality. It is one of two that are still preserved. During our 3 day visit to Liechtenstein, we had the opportunity to visit the castle. We hiked from the playground at the base of the hill up through the vineyard. On the way back down, we looped through the small patch of woods to see the nearby church.
And yes, out 4-year-old wanted to play fetch lol

The Principality of Liechtenstein was established within the Holy Roman Empire in 1719 and became a sovereign state in 1806. Until the end of World War I, it was closely tied to Austria, but the economic devastation caused by that conflict forced Liechtenstein to conclude a customs and monetary union with Switzerland. Since World War II (in which Liechtenstein remained neutral), the country's low taxes have spurred outstanding economic growth.

Shortcomings in banking regulatory oversight have resulted in concerns about the use of the financial institutions for money laundering and tax evasion.
