The Fumaça waterfall - Smoke Fallsis a Brazilian waterfall located between the municipalities of Lençóis and Palmeiras in the state of Bahia.
The waterfall is in the Chapada Diamantina, within the well-known Chapada Diamantina National Park and is 340 meters high, being the second largest in Brazil, smaller only than the El Dorado Waterfall in the Amazon.
The name refers to effect caused by the force of the wind, which prevents the water from reaching the base, forming a visual view as if it were smoke.
There are two ways to reach it: from above, walking 6 kilometers (3.7 mi) from the ecological base placed in the Vale do Capão, or from below, after a three-day trek starting from Lençoís.

Funchal is the largest city, the municipal seat and the capital of Portugal's Autonomous Region of Madeira. The city has a population of 100,526 and has been the capital of Madeira for more than five centuries. Today Funchal is a major tourist town, with hotels, port, and an international airport Funchal Airport (FNC), located in the nearby municipality of Santa Cruz. Besides the city of Funchal, tourist destinations include: Ribeira Brava, Curral das Freiras, Porto Moniz, Santana, the Laurisilva forest, a UNESCO Natural Site, in the center of Madeira Island and the beaches in Porto Santo island. There is also a passenger gondola lift (Funchal Passenger Ropeway), that transports people from the lower section of the city to the suburb of Monte.
The ship is the MV Bleu de France, owned by the Spanish company Pullmantur through its subsidiary Crossieres de France and in partnership with the Brazilian agency CVC. On this video, we pass by the city of Fortaleza.
The trip, also called the crossing, took 12 days. We departed from Recife, the main city in the Northeast coast of Brazil, with stops in Fortaleza (Brazil), Praia (Cabo Verde), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Ilhas Canarias, Spain) and Funchal (Ilha Madeira, Portugal), arriving early morning in Lisbon.

This is the last season for this ship as Bleu de France, as it was sold to the British company SAGA and soon will become Saga Sapphire.

Ao final da temporada de cruzeiros, o Bleu de France fez a travessia de volta para Europa com uma grande viagem de 12 dias.
Saindo do Recife, o navio passou por Fortaleza (Brasil), Praia (Cabo Verde), Santa Cruz de Tenerife (Ilhas Canarias, Espanha) and Funchal (Ilha Madeira, Portugal), com chegada em Lisboa.
Para a próxima temporada, o navio Ocean Dream vai substituir o Bleu de France pelo Nordeste na rota Recife - Noronha, e a Pullmantur vai oferecer a travessia do Oceano Atlântico Brasil - Europa em alguns de seus cruzeiros. Já o navio Bleu de France foi vendido a empresa SAGA e se chamará Saga Sapphire.
O Forte Real de São Filipe, também referido como Fortaleza Real de São Filipe ou simplesmente como Cidadela, localiza-se no alto da Achada de São Filipe, na Cidade Velha, no município da Ribeira Grande de Santiago, na ilha de Santiago, em Cabo Verde.
Em posição dominante sobre a antiga cidade da Ribeira Grande, a 120 metros acima do nível do mar, foi a primeira e mais importante fortificação do arquipélago.

The Republic of Cape Verde is an island country, spanning an archipelago of 10 islands located in the central Atlantic Ocean, 570 kilometres off the coast of Western Africa. The Cabo Verde islands, covering a combined area of slightly over 4,000 square kilometres (1,500 sq mi), are of volcanic origin and while three of them (Sal, Boa Vista and Maio) are fairly flat, sandy and dry, the remaining ones are generally rockier and have more vegetation. Because of the infrequent occurrence of rainfall in Cabo Verde the overall landscape is not particularly green, despite what the country's name suggests (verde is Portuguese for green).

It's hard to describe the Serra do Aracá. Few have ever been in your top or even in your surroundings. In fact, most people do not even know of its existence. However, anyone who sees the pictures and videos of this place there's no denying: this is one of the most beautiful places not only in Brazil but in the world.
Rock formations that reach more than 1,000 meters high covered by a dense forest and surrounded by several waterfalls with at least 200 meters of free fall form this landscape that is unique throughout the Brazilian Amazon.
The Serra do Aracá part of the Guiana Highlands, a vast rocky shell that starts in southern Venezuela and invades the extreme north of Brazil. His most famous representatives are the tepuis, including the mystical Mount Roraima. The Serra do Aracá is also a tepui, the one located below the equator. Rising to 1,300 meters, the mountain appears as a huge table in the middle of the Amazon forest.
This piece of Amazonia hides many natural beauties. The most impressive of all is undoubtedly the Waterfall of El Dorado (or Aracá), the largest waterfall in Brazil free water. Located right in the middle of a narrow valley, the water plummets straight from a height greater than 360 meters, the equivalent of a 126-story building. Upon reaching the ground, much of the colossal water jet has faded with the wind, which does not prevent a paradisiacal natural pool is formed on site, surrounded by huge rocky cliffs covered by green forest.
On the mountain are also located the headwaters of some rivers. One of them, referring to the high altitude plateau, was even named the Our Father. This crib springs leads to the emergence of several other waterfalls, most with over 200 feet tall. Some are incredibly positioned next to each other, forming a scenario that hitherto could only be seen in the most poetic fantasy films. To complete the top of the mountains, the vastness of the Amazon forest is seen as an infinite and immaculate green carpet, which extends to beyond the line of the horizon.
Not satisfied all its breathtaking scenic beauty, the Sierra Aracá is still shrouded in several local legends and mysteries. At some point around the park, the Amazon rainforest gives way to a wide floodplain. Some say that this location corresponds to the legendary Lake Parimé, whose search has been reported in various chronicles of the Spanish conquistadors of the sixteenth century. According to some accounts, the banks of the lake was located Manoa, indigenous city of great wealth who made history with the name of El Dorado. The lake, some experts say, dried up centuries ago, but the ruins of the city of gold were still there, hidden by the forest. There are even those who say that Machu Picchu, the lost city of the Incas, in the indigenous language means second, and that the first is still hidden among the mountains of Aracá.

The Cachoeira da Fumaça (Smoke Falls, once known as Glass Falls) is 340 m tall waterfall in Bahia, Brazil. It was believed to be the country's highest waterfall until the 353 m tall Cachoeira do Araca (Cachoeira do El Dorado) was recently discovered in the Amazon. Cachoeira da Fumaça is located in Chapada Diamantina, an attractive region for adventurers, named that way because the tiny water flow is sprayed by the wind before it touches the ground. However, depending on the season, it can be completely dry. There are two ways to reach it: from above, walking 6 kilometers from the ecological base placed in the Vale do Capão, or from below, after a three-day trek starting from Lençoís, Chapada's best-known city. Local people knew about the waterfall but wider public learned about it after it was noticed by bush pilot George Glass in 1960.
