Touristic City of Barra Bonita
Bathed by a virtually clean Tietê River, Barra Bonita's main attraction is its lock, the first built in South America, created to overcome the 26 meters of the hydroelectric power plant named after the city. Tourists can take rides in boats for 100, 300, 400 and 700 passengers.
The Praça do Teleférico (Cable Car Square) is another interesting venue, with attractions such as paddle boats in the artificial lake, kart track and the Trade Fair Center.
Downtown, there is the Trenzinho Simpatia train ride, the Jardineira and the Barra Bonita tram, which takes a tour around the city's main touristic sites, such as the Artesanato square, Tietê River Memorial and the historic Campos Salles bridge.

Barra Bonita is 278 km from São Paulo.
Car: Rodovia Castello Branco (SP-280) until the entrance to Botucatu, then drive on Rodovia Marechal Rondon (SP-300) until São Manuel and take SP-255 until Barra Bonita.

Again an awesome choice: best view in Rio de Janeiro from the Sugarloaf View room on 12th floor of hotel Yoo2 by Intercity! I searched for this on Google street view to make sure it really has the beast view, this was not an easy find but a deep research to stay here! Very happy all perfect and staff were amazingly kind & helpful beyond their work duties!! (They helped me get & register & charge a SIM Card even!)
The room is stunning too as is the rooftop bar, pool & view!!
