Exploring Sitka, Alaska
We spent the week of Christmas visiting Isa's family in her hometown of Sitka, AK. We both work remotely, so we still worked while we were up there, but we had plenty of time to explore and hike and enjoy Alaska.
To give you an idea of the layout, you've got downtown Sitka in the middle, and then Halibut Point Road (HPR) runs north about 15 minutes to Starrigavan, where we hiked Mosquito Cove and whatever the random hike is at 2:30 - which is newly built and may not actually have a name yet. From downtown in the other direction is Sawmill Creek which runs along the coast to Silver Bay. There are some great hikes out here too, but we didn't do them this time.
We also stopped in Highliner, which is a fantastic local cafe. Harbor Books didn't make the video, but we stopped in there too and we highly recommend it.
