Bondeno is a comune in the Province of Ferrara in the Italian region Emilia-Romagna, located about 45 kilometres north of Bologna and about 15 kilometres northwest of Ferrara. Bondeno borders the following municipalities: Cento, Ferrara, Ficarolo, Finale Emilia, Mirandola, Sermide e Felonica, Terre del Reno, Vigarano Mainarda. Its territory is crossed by the Panaro river.

Museo Ferrari is a Ferrari company museum dedicated to the Ferrari sports car marque. The museum is not purely for cars; also on view are trophies, photographs and other historical objects relating to the Italian motor racing industry. The exhibition also introduces technological innovations, some of which had made the transition from racing cars to road cars. It is located just 300 m from the Ferrari factory in Ferrari's home town of Maranello, near Modena, Italy. The museum first opened in February 1990, with a new wing being added in October 2004. San Michele in Isola is a Roman Catholic church, located on the Isola di San Michele, a small islet sited between Venice and Murano, which once sheltered a Camaldolese monastery , but now houses the main cemetery of the city. The monastery was mostly demolished in the 19th-century, but the church remains, originally rebuilt starting in 1469. The church is dedicated to Saint Michael , the holder of the scales on Judgement Day, a fit guardian of the sleep of the faithful dead. The island cemetery now includes the land of the formerly separate island of San Cristoforo. This church is sometimes referred to as San Michele di Murano, although this islet is separate from islands comprising that town.

Torrechiara is a frazione of the comune of Langhirano, in the province of Parma, northern Italy. It is especially known for its massive castle, built by Pier Maria II de' Rossi , count of San Secondo, between 1448 and 1460. The building was thought not only as a defensive structure, but also as mansion for the count's lover, Bianca Pellegrini, for which a famous hall, the Camera d'Oro was built with decorations by Benedetto Bembo, sibling of Bonifacio Bembo. Scenes of the 1985 film Ladyhawke were shot at the castle.

The Rocca Sanvitale, or Sanvitale Castle, is a fortress residence in the centre of the town of Fontanellato, near Parma, northern Italy. Construction of the moated block, accessible through a drawbridge, was begun in the 13th century, mostly completed by the 15th century, with embellishments continuing through to the 18th century. It is prototypical of the urban castle-houses of the turbulent medieval communes of Northern Italy. Until the 1930s it was the home of the descendants of the Count of Sanvitale. The crenelated walls and asymmetric towers are surrounded by an arcaded town. Adjacent to the castle are gardens and a courtyard. Earthquake damage north of Carpi, Italy

There were two major earthquakes in Emiglia Romagna on 20 May 2012 and 29 May 2012 which caused 27 deaths and widespread damage. You can see in my film from Carpi, that the magnificent cathedral there was still covered in scaffolding four years later and off bounds to the public. In this film I visit the location of a former restaurant which collapsed. The restaurant was located on the road leading from Carpi towards Fosoli, another place you can see in a film on this site.

The earthquake in the early hours of 20 May 2012 had a magnitude of 6.1 and the epicentre was around Finale Emilia, Bondeno and Sermide. Two aftershocks of magnitude 5.2 occurred, one approximately an hour after the main even] and another approximately eleven hours after the main event. Seven people were killed. A friend described it to me as being like the sound of a train passing underground.

The earthquake of 29 May 2012 was around 10km below the ground and had a magnitude of 5.8 with the epicentre in Medolla. It took 20 lives.
