Boracay is a small island in the Philippines located approximately 315 km (196 mi) south of Manila and 2 km off the northwest tip of Panay Island in Western Visayas region of the Philippines. Boracay Island and its beaches have received awards from numerous travel publications and agencies. The island is administered by the Philippine Tourism Authority and the provincial government of Aklan. Apart from its white sand beaches, Boracay is also famous for being one of the world's top destinations for relaxation. Leisure activities available on or near Boracay include horseback riding, scuba diving, diving helmet, snorkeling, windsurfing, kiteboarding, cliff diving, parasailing. Boracay is the site of an 18-hole par 72 golf course designed by Graham Marsh. Boracay has in excess of 350 beach resorts offering more than 2,000 rooms ranging in quality from five-star to budget accommodation. In addition, Boracay offers a wide range of restaurants, bars, pubs, and nightclubs.

Traveling to Boracay Island every summer has converted as a yearly tradition for me and my best friend, Therese. This 2015, we made sure to level up from last year’s candid trip and created a list of things-to-do during our 5-day stay on the island. Parasailing, island hopping, sunset sailing and cliff jumping were just some of the items that we luckily ticked off our “Boracay Bucketlist”. It was all about impulsive decisions, having pure bliss and living in the moment!

Boracay is a small island in the central Philippines. It's known for its resorts and beaches. Along the west coast, White Beach is backed by palm trees, bars and restaurants. On the east coast, strong winds make Bulabog Beach a hub for water sports. Nearby, the observation deck on Mount Luho offers panoramic views over the island. Offshore, coral reefs and shipwrecks are home to diverse marine life.
A hotel is an establishment that provides paid lodging on a short-term basis.
