Istria is a beautiful region of Croatia! Beautiful old, small villages as you pass that coastline from Italy to Slovenia to Croatia. Everywhere you can spot harbours with yachts, churches, cathedrals, palaces,... with lot's of ancient roman influences. The amphiteatre in Pula is a must see!

Place to See: Der Naturpark Kamenjak in Istrien

Knapp 20km südlich des Camping Bi-Village liegt das Naturschutzgebiet Kap Kamenjak, der südlichste Punkt Istriens. Entlang der Küstenlinie des Kaps reiht sich eine schöne Badebucht an die nächste. Ehemals ein Geheimtipp ist das Kap inzwischen beliebt für Tagesausflüge. Dennoch gilt die Landschaft mit ihrer wilden Vegetation, den rauen Klippen, den 30 kleinen Buchten und dem blauen Meer als einzigartig.

Istrien - Pula

Pula, die größte Stadt im kroatischen Istrien, ist wie eine riesige historische Freiluftbühne mit einer über 2.000 Jahre langen Geschichte. Vom gigantischen römischen Amphitheater über die mächtigen Habsburger Festungen bis zu den kulinarischen Genusstempeln von heute. Sehenswert! Produziert im Jahr 2011/12.

Istria (/ˈɪstriə/ ISS-tree-ə; Croatian, Slovene: Istra; Istriot: Eîstria; Italian: Istria; German: Istrien), formerly Histria (Latin), Ίστρια (Ancient Greek), is the largest peninsula in the Adriatic Sea. The peninsula is located at the head of the Adriatic between the Gulf of Trieste and the Kvarner Gulf. It is shared by three countries: Croatia, Slovenia, and Italy. Croatia encapsulates most of the Istrian peninsula with its Istria County (Regione istriana in Italian).
The geographical features of Istria include the Učka mountain ridge, which is the highest portion of the Ćićarija mountain range; the rivers Dragonja, Mirna, Pazinčica, and Raša; and the Lim bay and valley. Istria lies in three countries: Croatia, Slovenia and Italy. By far the largest portion (89%) lies in Croatia. Croatian Istria is divided into two counties, the larger being Istria County in western Croatia. Important towns in Istria County include Pula/Pola, Poreč/Parenzo, Rovinj/Rovigno, Pazin/Pisino, Labin/Albona, Umag/Umago, Motovun/Montona, Buzet/Pinguente, and Buje/Buie. Smaller towns in Istria County include Višnjan, Roč, and Hum.

Europe 2018: Long Travel to Groznjan

My classmates had a great opportunity to do a one week field school in Groznjan, Croatia so we took it. This course involved learning about the histories of cities and also how we can project the essence of a city through film. We enjoyed the beautiful town of Groznjan because it has so much culture to teach us. To be honest, I have never heard of this place ever in my life but I have to say, everyone should visit this quiet town once in their life because I have totally fallen in love with it.
