It's been over 34 years since I've been back to the motherland. Had an amazing time touring the Aklan Province seeing places like Kalibo, Numancia, New Washington, Boracay, Tibiao, San Joaquin and Iloilo just to name a few. If you ever get the chance to visit the Phillippines, I highly recommend it.

No need to be sad with the closing of Boracay because Aklan offers a various white beaches to dive in aside from the famous Boracay, and one of the newest spot is the Paradiso Bel'is! Might want add it on your bucket list also. #WorthTheTrouble

From Kalibo, ride a van going to Caticlan Port (P80.00)
From caticlan port, ride a tricycle going to Naasog Beach (P17.00)
From Naasog, rent a habal habal going to Bel'is (P70.00)
P140 pesos, roundtrip, if not overnight
P.S you should tell the habal habal driver if you don't have plans on staying for overnight so they can fetch you around 4-5pm.
- Can bring foods without corkage.
- Cottages are worth P300-500.00 (Barkada rate so it is really cheaper if you travel with your friends)
- They also serve snacks and drinks
- No wifi/Signal available on the island btw, just mother nature
- You can bring speakers for some music and powerbank is a must so you can charge your phones.
- They have a villa/house which cost 10, 000 pesos(I'm not sure with theses though, the rate depends on the season) good for 6-8 person complete with kitchen amenities, 3 rooms, sala and others. Bringing of foods and cooking is allowed also.
- To spend less, bring a tent with you if you plan on staying overnight to watch the sunset.
- Much better if you travel with friends or your love ones
- Travel light, if ever because the way is quite a roller-coaster ride going to Bel'is.
- BEWARE:You'll be experiencing a roller-coaster ride, but just enjoy the thrill while it last. It can also be an added adventure to your bucket list.
- The most perfect getaway place for those who are tired of living the city life btw. This is where you'll find peace and serenity as in LITERAL.
- We are so lucky because when we get there, we are the only customers they have so that makes the place more exclusive, only for us.
- ONLY MOTHER NATURE!
