I had a lovely Japanese Food Internet cafe in this caravan park, it was sold and the new owner promised me I could stay. However when he took over the management blatantly evicted me and most of my food and equipment got stolen.

Georges River Parkland, Picnic Point. NSW Australia
The Georges River, formerly known as Tucoerah River, is an intermediate tide dominated drowned valley estuary, located to the south and west of Sydney, New South Wales, Australia.
The source of the Georges River is upland swamps of the O'Hares Creek catchment, approximately 80 kilometres (50 mi) to the south-west of Sydney central business district between the town of Appin and the Illawarra Escarpment. The river travels for approximately 96 kilometres (60 mi) in a north and then easterly direction to its mouth at Botany Bay, about 5 kilometres (3.1 mi) from the Tasman Sea. The Georges River is the main tributary of Botany Bay; with the Cooks River being a secondary tributary.
The total catchment area of the river is approximately 930.9 square kilometres (359.4 sq mi) and the area surrounding the river is managed by a large number of local government authorities and NSW Government agencies.
The land adjacent to the Georges River was occupied for many thousands of years by the Tharawal and Eora Aboriginal peoples. They used the river as an important source of food and a place for trade.
SlowTV Train Trip Riverina XPT Sydney to Yass Junction - way to Wagga Wagga 1992. Like 'The Ghan'!
Recently, thanks to the SBS channel's TV show 'The Ghan' the SlowTV movement has finally taken off in Australia. Great Rail Journeys.
In 1992 I began recording a number of 'out of the window' videos from various trains around the world with the intention of starting something similar at the time. (The Slow VHS movement!) At the time, slow style VHS travel guides from the USA, featuring long shots from vehicles, were popular in the VHS sections of Woolworths and Coles, and I thought that I could do something similar with trains in Australia.
What I found was that, while my recording equipment was at the lower end of the professional range at the time, attempting to correctly edit with two VHS video recorders meant a very unprofessional production. Also, my footage was originally captured in letterbox format when TV was starting to turn to widescreen.
In the early 90s, the whole idea turned out to be too expensive and I shelved it for about 25 years, almost throwing everything out in 2015 but deciding at the last minute to convert surviving tape remnants to digital, before discarding them.
And so, here is an edited version of my first attempt. The original plan was to record some selected scenery from Central station to Wagga Wagga (a 6-7 hour journey) but I ran out of battery after 3 hours so I ended up getting just past Yass Junction.
On the way back I recorded the area from the closed station Bomen to just past Junee, so a bit of that leg was added to this video at the end. Unfortunately, a different filter was used.
In any case, you could have this playing on your computer with the sound down, while you go about your daily chores at home, or you could sit and watch the old houses, cars and stations go by, occasionally punctuated with a few names and words popping up here and there by me.

Hunter Valley Steamfest 30th Anniversary, 9th to 10th April 2016 - Part 3
From Saturday 9th April to Sunday 10th April 2016, the annual Hunter Valley Steamfest was held at Maitland, with this year being the 30th Anniversary of Steamfest. It was a very special occassion. Locomotives that attended the event were:
-5917 - Lachlan Valley Railway
-3642 - Transport Heritage NSW
-3016 - Canberra Railway Museum
-6029 - Canberra Railway Museum
This was the first time Garratt 6029 had attended Maitland Steamfest. Railmotor's CPH 1,3 and 7 and 621/721 from the Rail Motor Society were also at the event, along with a number of Diesel Locomotives including 4001, 4490, 4520, 4803, GL102 and GL106.
There were many highlights and attractions from Train Rides, the Rally Ground and Market Stalls. The biggest highlight by far was the Great Train Race on Sunday 10th April, which featured all four Steam Locomotives competing against four tiger moth planes from Waratah to Maitland. DC6029 had won the race. The 2016 Hunter Valley Steamfest - 30th Anniversary was an event that every railway enthusiast will remember for a long time.
Here is Part 3 of our footage from Saturday 9th April. After our trip aboard the Garratt to Branxton, we head down to the Rally Ground to take a look around. Than we head back up to see some more action at Maitland Station, and to conclude our time on Saturday, we head down the road into one of the buildings where there were a few Model Railway Layouts.

The 3642 Farewell Tour (Hoo Roo Pig 42)
And what a tour it was...
On Sunday 1st July 2018, veteran steam locomotive 3642 Miss Piggy (or simply The Pig) participated in its final tour before being withdrawn from mainline service (for the foreseeable future), alongside 3526 between Picton and Moss Vale, with 4490 & 4403 working the train between Central & Picton.
The tour is seen at four different locations, as well as 4490 & 4403 operating the transfer to Central. Several other trains were also filmed on this day, seen in the film “Highlands In July”:
