GOLF FVG | Udine Golf Club

The Udine Golf Club, surrounded by splendid glacially-formed hills covered in oak and beech woods, lies in Fagagna, close to the towns of San Daniele del Friuli and Udine. Founded in 1972, the club offers visitors the opportunity to enjoy golf in an exclusive and relaxing setting.
Since 2013, following the acquisition of the course by entrepreneur Gabriele Lualdi, architect Fulvio Bani has overseen extensive work on the course with the aim of making it not just a prestigious Golf Academy, but also an international championship course and the only Italian stage of the European Senior Tour (October 2016 and September 2017).
The 18 holes flow well to give a course that is both enjoyable and technically challenging. The championship course is a Par 72 that extends over a distance of 5.890 m., laid out perfectly among the contours of the glacially-formed hills.
Hole no. 2 is the one that is renowned for not receiving a single birdie in either 2015
and 2016 during competitions. Birdie means one stroke under par and, as one may imagine, is always a great challenge!
Hole no. 6 has just been modified. It is worth discovering, as it has a very, very
elevated high green compared to the landing area of the first shot while hole no. 16 has a difference in elevation of 14.5 metres; it is a very long hole of 505
metres, that has to be tackled carefully because it is also very narrow in the last
250 metres.
The Golf Club has two awards: GEO certification (GEO is one of the most sought-after and prestigious environmental certificates that a golf course can attain) and the “Committed to Green” award.
The club house has been completely renovated with the dining room terraces looking out over the golf course, and is connected by a bridge to the Villaverde Hotel & Resort, which opened in February 2016. The eco-friendly hotel has 33 comfort rooms and suites, all with a terrace looking out over the golf course and the Julian Alps. The reception area level includes a high-tech meeting room, a lounge bar and the Privilegium Restaurant, offering exclusive dining by reservation only. Key features of the hotel are the healthcare centre, with its fully-equipped Technogym, and the Wellness area, which includes treatment rooms, two flotation rooms and a spa with indoor and outdoor pools.

Der Golf Club hat zwei Auszeichnungen: GEO-Zertifizierung bis 2018 und „Committed to Green“.
Das Clubhaus ist ganz renoviert und die Speisesäle mit ihren Terrassen haben einen Blick auf den Golfplatz. Eine Brücke verbindet den Golfplatz mit dem Villaverde Hotel & Resort, das seit Februar 2016 geöffnet ist. Das ist eine nachhaltige Struktur mit 33 Zimmern, Komfortzimmer und Suiten, alle mit Terrasse mit Blick auf den Golfplatz und die Julischen Alpen. Sehr wichtig sind die medizinische Etage, mit einem ausgestatteten Technogym-Fitnessraum, und die Wellness-Etage mit dem Behandlungsbereich, mit zwei Float-Rooms, und mit dem Wellnessbereich mit Innen- und Außenpool.
