Things NOT To Do in Chicago
Get more Tips here! destinationtips.com
Do not put ketchup on your hot dog.
A true Chicago-style hot dog is a Vienna beef hot dog in a poppyseed bun, topped with onions, mustard, sweet pickle relish, tomato slices, a dill pickle spear and a dash of celery salt.
Get Your Words Right!
Calling Chicago Chi-town really bothers some people
Is Chi-raq okay?
No!
DEVON
It’s Dee-vón instead of dev-in and Paul-eye-nah not Paul-eena.” There is a long list that I could go on, but I am going to keep it short and sweet.
Calling it the train instead of the el.
Don't fly in or out of O'Hare
O’Hare Airport has one of the worst on-time records in the country.
especially when there’s bad weather.
Use Midway , chicago’s other Airport instead which sees fewer delays and shorter security lines
Do not buy Cubs tickets in advance.
Unless the Cubs return to their playoff form of 2003, there is no reason to try to get tickets to see the Cubs at Wrigley Field in advance. Scalpers are always outside of the ballpark in full force and if you wait until the game has started, you can probably even grab a ticket at a discount.
Don't visit when it's cold
There’s no getting around it: Chicago winters are miserable. If you want to be able to experience all the city has to offer, visit between May and September, when the city comes alive with outdoor food and music festivals just about every weekend. This is also the best time of year to enjoy beautiful beaches on Lake Michigan, biking on the lakefront trail, strolls through Millennium and Grant Park, and architectural boat rides on the Chicago River. If you visit in winter, you can still take advantage of Chicago’s great restaurants, bars, shopping, and cultural venues, but you’ll almost freeze to death in the process.
That’s pretty impressive right? (Skybox)
No! It's too expensive!
DON’T: Go to the Willis Tower
You'll wait in a long line and pay $19 to go to the top of what is now the country's second-tallest building. Of course you can pay 40$ for a fast pass to skip the queue.
DON’T: Take the family to Navy Pier
Navy Pier is like the Times Square of Chicago: It's iconic, yes, but it's busy and touristy, and there isn't all that much to actually do there.
And finally
Don’t miss an architecture boat tour.
the Chicago Architecture River Cruise is the quintessential Chicago visitor experience. You’ll get a primer on Chicago’s history, and also enjoy a prime vantage point from which to enjoy the city’s world famous architecture.

Today was an amazing day of traveling in Athens, Greece. We ate some incredibly delicious Greek food and saw some of the most famous attractions, including the Acropolis (Parthenon) in Athens.
Here’s what you’ll find in this video:
Diporto Restaurant - This is an amazing hidden gem of a restaurant serving traditional Greek food in a downstairs basement tavern. They only have a few dishes per day, and you order whatever they have - everything is delicious.
Total price - 25 EUR for everything
Souvlaki Lefteris o Politis - This is another famous souvlaki, Greek street food, hole in the wall that I was excited to try because they are known for their spicy souvlaki. It was awesomely delicious and something you shouldn't miss if you love Greek food.
Price - 1.90 EUR per piece
Plaka Neighborhood - In the afternoon, I walked around the Plaka Neighborhood for a while and also saw the National Garden.
Panathenaic Stadium - In order to fulfill my inner Olympian, I entered into the Panathenaic Stadium, walked around this amazing marble stadium, and took a victory lap. It was awesome, it’s a must see when you’re in Athens.
Entrance price - 5 EUR
Dio Dekares i Oka Restaurant - We had an early Greek food dinner at Dio Dekares i Oka Restaurant that serves home-style Greek food. The lamb with dill and celery was the highlight dish for me.
Total price - 33 EUR for everything
Acropolis of Athens - There’s no doubt that the Acropolis of Athens, which includes the Parthenon is the most famous attraction to see in Athens. It was at the center of Athens and the center of Western civilization at its peak. It’s an amazing sight to see, even though it’s high damaged. But it’s truly breathtaking to admire the columns.
Combined attractions ticket - 30 EUR
Hope you enjoyed this Athens travel guide tour, with amazing Greek food and some must see attractions. Thank you for watching.

Watermelon Smoked To Look Like Meat
Smoked watermelon is available at Duck's Eatery in New York City. The melon is cooked in the same way they've been smoking meat for years. It's no wonder the watermelon looks like a smoked ham!

10 BEST New Orleans food to try
#streetfood #neworleans #food
New Orleans food or NOLA Food as some refer to it, is amazing. You’ll find a great selection of cajun and Creole influenced food in New Orleans. This video features the amazing food in New Orleans.
The New Orleans Food we tried included the following:
-Muffuletta: Central Grocery on Decatur Street in the French Quarter in New Orleans invented the Muffuletta. A Muffuletta is essentially a sandwich meats sliced in house, locally baked handmade bread and our family’s Italian Olive Salad
-Beignets and Chicory coffee at Cafe Du Monde: Cafe Du Monde is open 24 hours a day. They server only two things, beignets and the New Orleans coffee which contains chicory. The beignets are served coated in icing sugar.
-Kings Cake: This traditional cake is popular during Mardi Gras and is sold mainly in supermarkets and shops. There are a few bakeries where you can get smaller pieces to sample. This brioche type cake is filled with something, I had chocolate, covered in white icing and coloured sugar. Simple but delicious.
-Red Fish Grill: Gumbo at the Red Fish Grill on Bourbon Street in New Orleans is served with Alligator sausage and shrimp.
-Palace Cafe: The Palace Cafe on Canal Street in New Orleans specialises in contemporary Creole food. Two of the highlights include the Turtle Soup and the Bread Pudding with white chocolate sauce. This place is not cheap, but the price to quality ratio is on point.
-Po-Boys at Pierre Maspero’s: Pierre Maspero’s, situated in an iconic building in the French Quarter, servers some of the best Po Boys in town. Po Boys are basically massive sandwiches served on soft French baguette type bread. The Po Boy fillings range from fried shrimp, fried fish, or fried alligator to Roast Beef or Pulled Pork
-Arnaud’s Remoulade: Grilled oysters are very popular in New Orleans. This place has a tasting platter where you can sample six different fillings. Arnaud’s Remoulade also has a very tasty Jambalaya with chicken and sausage.

LEGENDARY PASTA & SANDWICHES! Food Tour of Florence Italy
My food adventure in Florence Italy continues as I spend the entire day just eating nonstop which is my type of fun :-) I really wanted to try out some iconic Florentine dishes and just as much pasta as I can get my hands on.
For my first stop I went to the central market which is a great place to just hang out and eat, walk around then eat some more and hit the repeat button all day. Then I went looking for a local restaurant that is PACKED all the time and finally went pasta hunting. All in all, a pretty fun day!
The places I ate at
Da Nerbone
Trattoria Mario
Panini Toscani
Trattoria Casalinga

There are few cities in the world that can compare to Jerusalem in terms of ancient history and religious significance. It’s one of the most fascinating cities in the world, and it’s a city that I’ve wanted to visit my entire life. Finally, along with my friend David ( and Rafram, we explored Jerusalem to discover the food treasures the city has to offer - and let me tell you, you’ll find some incredibly delicious food in Jerusalem!
We started off the Jerusalem food tour by first walking around East Jerusalem and starting with the best plate of hummus I’ve ever had. We then toured around Old Jerusalem, and enjoyed some incredible Palestinian food kebabs cooked by an incredible man who cooked with serious love and passion. Another highlight in Jerusalem was the mutabak, a thin pastry stuffed with cheese and baked.
After eating our way through Old Jerusalem, we then headed into West Jerusalem and went to lunch at an Israeli Jewish restaurant serving a mix of amazing dishes. The food was home-cooked in style, and absolutely sensation. A few more snacks and sightseeing throughout the afternoon, and that brought us all the way to dinner where David had made reservations to eat at one of the hottest restaurants in Jerusalem, Machneyuda Restaurant. It was quite an experience, and an amazing meal and lively atmosphere to wrap up this ultimate Jerusalem food tour.
Here’s all the food and places included in this Palestinian food and Israeli food tour of Jerusalem:

It was a lot of food in a single day, but it was one of the greatest food and learning days that I’ve ever had in my life. The generosity of the people we connected with, paired with the food, was truly a memorable experience in Jerusalem.
Thank you again to David ( and Rafram for showing me some of the best food in Jerusalem!

Cold Brew Iced Latte Recipe:
Place 2/3 c. coffee grounds in french press.
Pour 3 cups of cold water over grounds.
Stir to incorporate.
Set french press in fridge overnight (12 hours)
Strain grounds in morning by pushing down on strainer.
When ready to drink place the following in a jar or cup:
Large handful of ice
1/2 cup cold brew coffee
1/4 cup flavored creamer of choice
1/4 cup milk
Top with whipped cream and a bamboo straw! (optional of course)
This recipe is super adaptable. If it's too strong, add more milk. If it's two sweet, add more coffee!
I am working on lowering the amount of creamer I use, but it's a slow process!
Egg Spice Blend:
1 tsp. pepper
1 tsp. salt
1 Tbsp. celery salt
1 Tbsp. paprika
1 Tbsp. season salt
Orange Peel Infused Vinegar
Pack a 1 qt. mason jar with orange peels
Cover completely with vinegar
Let sit in fridge for 2 weeks
Strain liquid
Fill half a spray bottle with vinegar mixture then top off the rest of the way with water.
Spray on counter tops and other surfaces.
Wipe clean.
If you can get past that initial first smell of vinegar, this is a great natural cleaner! And FREE!

Ottawa: Best Places to Visit in Canada
Ottawa: Best Places to Visit in Canada.
What You Need to Know:
1. There's more than one city here
Ottawa refers to the city south of the Ottawa River in the English-speaking province of Ontario. Several bridges connect the capital to its northern neighbor, Gatineau, in the French-speaking province of Quebec.
2. Don't worry too much about money
The Canadian dollar – roughly equivalent in value to the U.S. dollar – is the official currency here. But because Ottawa is so close to the U.S. border, many businesses also accept American money.
3. Bring warm clothing
Average highs during the winter months rarely rise above freezing. If you're planning a winter trip, make sure to bring all the cold-weather necessities like a warm hat, scarf and gloves.
