Covert / South Haven KOA in Covert Michigan offers full hookup RV and tent camping in an open setting with KOA level of amenities. A KOA Holiday Resort meaning it is designed, marketed, and intended as a destination to visit, stay and enjoy. The large facility is located in a rural setting off of Michigan 140.
Easily accessed for any size RV the main drive up to the gate is paved after that all the interior roads are not. Very dusty the roads and sites are gravel. The luxury sites have their concrete patios with picnic tables and umbrellas. On the flip-side the basic sites just have a place to park. There is decent spacing in between sites and pull-thru and back-in options for the RV sites.
The park is mainly made up of partial hookup sites with a select number of full hookup sites that tend to be very well reserved in advance. A large number of camping cabins including some in the shade or out in the open.
If you look at the park via satellite view you will miss a number of the pretty cabins tucked back in the woods along with a nature trail and a small fishing pond. There are also tent sites tucked back in the woods providing a state park/ national park feel.
As a Holiday Resort the location has a large number of family-friendly games and activities including a bounce pillow, two playgrounds and other gaming areas. The pool area is located up near the office and it’s a very large pool with nice lounge chairs and umbrellas around it there’s a large store with supplies and food. Finally an easy to access dump station out front, on the way out, overall this is a very nice and well cared for KOA location.
As an added bonus the park is surrounded by blue-berry bushes; buckets are available that allow guests to pick fresh blueberries!
