Time Difference
During the winter months, Britain is on Greenwich Mean Time (GMT), which is 5 hours ahead of Eastern Standard Time and 10 hours behind Sydney. Western standard time is five hours behind.
From late March until late October, the clocks go forward one hour to British Summer Time (BST).

Britain is officially metric, in line with the rest of Europe. However, imperial measures are still in use, especially for road distances, which are measured in miles. Imperial pints and gallons are 20 per cent larger than US measures.

Passport And Visas Requirements To Enter The UK

You can't go to Lowestoft without going to sea the sea. It was freezing cold but worth every shiver. I was surprised to see lots of waves in the distance that were going in a completely different direction to the waves coming towards the beach. I could easily have stood there all day watching and listening to the sea
Lowestoft is a lovely seaside town in Suffolk, famous not just for its beautiful beach but also great for shopping.

Join me as I take an early morning walk to video this High Street in the coastal resort of Aldeburgh in Suffolk. Only the sound of the local dust cart and sea gulls break the silence. This small town has retained it's charm and character over the years and is well worth a visit.

Hopton on Sea. View North towards Great Yarmouth. Spend 10min sitting on the beach and watch the tide come in. Video filmed in June 2007. I'm afraid that the sand here has washed away over the years and the sea wall partly burried in the dunes is fully exposed to the sea.
