10. Popayan
Popayan is one of Colombia’s most impressive colonial cities. Located in southwestern Colombia, it is sometimes called the “Ciudad Blanca” (White City) because its buildings are chalk-white. Founded in 1537, its mild climate quickly attracted wealthy Spanish families who built mansions, schools, churches and monasteries.

Colombia nightlife offers something for everyone, from sipping mojitos in the plazas of old Cartagena to dancing the night away in the salsa clubs of Cali. Every big city features a host of theaters for inexpensive music and dance performances.

A gringo in Colombia & Venezuela - Part 8: Cartagena
I’m off out the most dangerous journey of my life, cruising through Colombia with a visit to one of the deadliest countries in the world: Venezuela.
After a tense five days in Venezuela I get to catch my breath and process my experiences in the colonial Colombian city of Cartagena. I'm speaking a bit about what to expect from the border crossing from Venezuela to Colombia and how nerv wrecking it could be if you are a gringo.
I hate speaking English, but this time I might stumble upon some newsworthy material I can actually sell, which might make it worth the trouble.
I am stuck with an old iPhone for filming and editing so please give me a break.
