The Life of Haitians in Dominican Republic - Migration Challenges Culture
In this Documentary, Mr.T explores as to why so many Haitians migrate to Dominican Republic, their lives there, and the challenges they faced back in Haiti, as well as how it was to settle and integrate in Dominican Society, dealing with racism, police harassment, immigration, respect and acceptance issues.
You'll get to see clips from both Haiti and the DR and learn about the cultural differences. You'll hear Mr.T interview several down-to-earth Haitians and Americans who's traveled to and lived on both sides of the Island of Hispaniola.
Mr.T also discusses the topic of creating many more businesses and Jobs in their currently grim economy and how this could be achieved.
Finally, you'll also hear the view of a Dom Rep Businessman and Politician, as to his view on the Haitian immigrants. Enjoy!

White Knuckle 4 Wheel Road Trip Near Cabrera Dominican Republic - Part 3
Part 3 of our 4 wheel exploring in the Dominican Republic. The crew likes to hit the backroads of the Dominican Republic to explore on as many Sunday afternoons as we can get away. On this little adventure we head out onto one of the more remote little roads (well maybe road may be generous for some parts of it) out in the Cocoa country.
We really have two objectives in sharing these little mini adventure videos with you. First, there is no easier way to see some of the more off-the-beaten path parts of the North Coast of the Dominican Republic. Second, and maybe more importantly, what better way to see just how safe and friendly the locals are when you venture out of the big cities.
This is Part 3 of a three part video series. There is a little something different about each part. In Part 1 you see where we started and watch as we move deeper into the muddy, rutted backroads.. In Part 2 we will head out onto a rarely used cut road through the mud puddles and up the badly rutted paths.

Exploring The Source Of Water For Cabrera Dominican Republic - Part 3
Where does all the water come from that feeds Cabrera Dominican Republic. The team had no idea what we were committing to when we promised a viewer to explore where the water comes from in Cabrera. We had always heard that there were fresh water aquifers under this area that could supply the whole north coast of the Dominican Republic for over 100 years. But we are not even tapping those reserves. It turns out that most of our water flows down here to the coastal towns through a series of canals and viaducts from up in the nearby mountains. In our 15 years here we have never experienced a shortage of water and the amazing thing about this is that this water source is entirely gravity fed... no electricity needed.
In Part 3 of our 6 part series on Where The Water Comes From we venture a bit further out into the canal country and check out the little community of Mata Bonita. We find that as we venture farther and farther away from the main highway, the roads become more and more rustic and as we venture on out we definitely need the 4 wheel drive. In parts 4 through 6 follow along with us as we work our way farther and farther out in the outback to trace the water to its origins.
