We're back in Phoenix, AZ after 15 months in Mexico. Can we find Mexico here? And do we miss life in the US?

In today’s Mexico to Phoenix vlog, we’re doing something that we’ve wanted to do for a long time—finding MEXICO in Arizona! We’re going around Phoenix, Arizona, attempting to find Mexico enclaves, grocery stores, shops, restaurants, and things that just generally remind us about our newly-found home in Mexico.
Finding pieces of Mexico in our old stomping ground was a bit emotional, exciting, and a little bit shocking. What was surprising about it? Well, for example, one grocery store that we used to think was the epitome of Mexico really only has minor Mexican attributes.
We ran out of time to do/see everything we wanted to in Phoenix, unfortunately. But there's always next time! We hope to visit some more authentic Mexican restaurants in Phoenix to see how they compare. Plus, we'd like to chat with some more people in town to find out where they came from and what brought them to Phoenix.
Toward the end of this video, as we wrap up our Phoenix trip, we reflect on the things we miss about living in the US. As much as we love our new Mexican home, there are still quite a few things we miss about the US and Phoenix in particular.

MOST CHARMING CITY IN EUROPE? (BRUGES, BELGIUM TOUR) | Eileen Aldis
Bruges, Belgium might just be the most charming city in Europe. If you closed your eyes and imagined a picturesque, fairytale, travel-back-in-time, absolutely breath-taking European city I'd guess that Bruges is pretty close to what's in your head. It's what European vacation dreams are made of. A veritable time capsule of medieval architecture, It's easy to understand why it's a UNESCO World Heritage City. It is rare to see so many streets of buildings all so well preserved. Walking around is like being transported back in time and history here is on another level. This town hall? It was the seat of government for more than six hundred years. This old hospital? It's been a hospital since the 1100s (and only stopped in the 1970s). The reason why Bruges is so well preserved has a twist: the city was too poor to renovate and rebuild. Bruges has experienced periods of great wealth, great poverty, and great wealth. During the down times, citizens didn't have the cash to make 'improvements' to their houses and to this scarcity we owe a great deal! Ironically, the current citizens of Bruges benefit from their forebears' inability to knock things down and rebuild. Bruges is now a huge draw for tourists from around the world who flock to see the same buildings people were too poor to change. Huzzah! This is why I love history!
Our day in Bruges started at the Folklore Museum. It's only 4 Euro and you can get a nice overview of life in the city in the 19th and 20th centuries. Don't forget to look for the black cat who lives there. He's rare to see and is one of a long line of black cats who call the museum home. We then walked (you can walk everywhere) to the Burg Square where you'll find the Stadhuis (town hall) and a little further on is the Grote Markt. The latter is the main square where you'll find see the Belfry (Belfort) and dozens of tourists. Bruges is known for two things: an abundance of beauty and an abundance of tourists seeking it. But no one cares because you're so stunned at the charming city around you. We walked on to the Church of Our Lady where the altar piece is a Michelangelo sculpture of the Madonna and Child. Made of Carrara marble, it's been stolen twice and is now safe again to view at the church. Across the street is Sint-Janshospitaal - the one that was a hospital from the 1100s to the 1970s. Now you'll find religious art and - my favourite - examples of old ambulances. A visit here makes you really appreciate modern medicine. It started to rain and we were getting hungry so we headed to the Friet Museum (Fry Museum). How could we visit Belgium without doing a deep dive into the history of fries?! We wanted to find out why so many people mistakenly call them 'French fries' - we also wanted to eat fries. Check and check. It stopped raining so we ended the Bruges tour by boarding a river cruise because there are parts of the city only visible from the water. I'd definitely recommend a boat ride if you're visiting Bruges - it's relaxing and offers a unique perspective not seen by other means. We absolutely loved visiting Bruges and hope you enjoyed this visit to the jewel of Belgium.

Berlin is the capital and the largest city of Germany, as well as one of its 16 constituent states. With a steadily growing population of approximately 3.7 million, Berlin is the second most populous city proper in the European Union behind London and the seventh most populous urban area in the European Union. Located in northeastern Germany on the banks of the rivers Spree and Havel, it is the centre of the Berlin-Brandenburg Metropolitan Region, which has roughly 6 million residents. Due to its location in the European Plain, Berlin is influenced by a temperate seasonal climate. Around one-third of the city's area is composed of forests, parks, gardens, rivers, canals and lakes.
First documented in the 13th century and situated at the crossing of two important historic trade routes, Berlin became the capital of the Margraviate of Brandenburg (1417–1701), the Kingdom of Prussia (1701–1918), the German Empire (1871–1918), the Weimar Republic (1919–1933) and the Third Reich (1933–1945). Berlin in the 1920s was the third largest municipality in the world. After World War II and its subsequent occupation by the victorious countries, the city was divided; East Berlin was declared capital of East Germany, while West Berlin became a de facto West German exclave, surrounded by the Berlin Wall (1961–1989) and East German territory. Following German reunification in 1990, Berlin once again became the capital of all of Germany.
Berlin is a world city of culture, politics, media and science. Its economy is based on high-tech firms and the service sector, encompassing a diverse range of creative industries, research facilities, media corporations and convention venues. Berlin serves as a continental hub for air and rail traffic and has a highly complex public transportation network. The metropolis is a popular tourist destination. Significant industries also include IT, pharmaceuticals, biomedical engineering, clean tech, biotechnology, construction and electronics.
Berlin is home to world-renowned universities, orchestras, museums, and entertainment venues, and is host to many sporting events. Its Zoological Garden is the most visited zoo in Europe. With the world's oldest large-scale movie studio complex, Berlin is an increasingly popular location for international film productions. The city is well known for its festivals, diverse architecture, nightlife, contemporary arts and a very high quality of living. Since the 2000s Berlin has seen the emergence of a cosmopolitan entrepreneurial scene.

Canada Road Trip Vlog | Driving from Ontario to British Columbia
Join us for an epic Canada Road Trip in this vlog as we highlight our journey driving from the Ontario to British Columbia as a family traveling with a dog. As one of our last major trips of 2018 it was an incredible opportunity to travel with Audrey's family and Togo the German Shepherd across Canada. Basically we all piled into a van and drove roughly 9 to 12 hours per day over 4 days to arrive in Alberta before spending a couple of nights with a family friend before making the brief crossing over to British Columbia. Overall, our journey looked like this:
Day 1 Driving in Ontario and staying overnight in a cabin
Day 2 Once again driving in Ontario and staying overnight in a cabin
Day 3 Driving out of Ontario crossing through Manitoba and staying overnight in Saskatchewan in an airbnb
Day 4 Driving from Saskatchewan in to Alberta and staying overnight with a friend
Day 5 Exploring Alberta (which we'll show in another video) and staying overnight with a friend
Day 6 Crossing from Alberta to British Columbia
Basically if you're looking to do a road trip like this across Canada you can make it from Ontario to British Columbia in four busy days or a more comfortable 5 days.

Canada Road Trip Vlog | Driving from Ontario to British Columbia Travel Video Transcript:
So here we have Togo he jumped in the car. He is ready for his road trip. Ready to see all of Canada. He looks so happy.
Well, good morning good morning. Good morning guys. We are kicking off this road trip. It is happening. It is happening. The plan. I feel like we haven't really explained it. We came up with the idea to do this last minute road trip with my family. With my parents with the dog. We're going to be driving from Ontario to BC. Yeah, British Columbia for those who don't know. Haha. British Columbia. Sam's home province. I haven't been there in over 10 years I'm so excited to go back. It is going to be fun. I've never been there before. It is going to be 4 days of driving to get there. We're going to show you guys the road trip and then once we get to BC we're going to be doing lots of hiking, visiting lakes, mountains, nature. It is going to be a good time and then on the way back we're planning to travel via the US if we can get across the boarder with this dog.
We want to hit the road. We've got three provinces in one day. It is very exciting. Want to name them all? We're leaving Ontario. We're going to Manitoba and then we're finishing off in Saskatchewan. We've got a lot of driving.
We are getting close to Regina. We like blasted through Manitoba. It took us two and half days to get through Ontario and just a few hours to get through Manitoba. Flat roads the whole way and yeah the scenery didn't really change. Like we started off with a little bit of forest as we crossed through Ontario into Manitoba and then it became flat like a pancake and it was mostly like farmland so it was a completely different change of scenery.
We are going to be continuing the road trip out to BC (British Columbia) so like yesterday we did a little bit of sightseeing around Alberta but now we're going to finish off strong so we have about three hours left to drive over across the Rockies.
I think we can say welcome to home sweet home. Where are we? Welcome to my home province of British Columbia guys. This is my first time in Invermere. It looks like a beautiful town and we're going to show you the house that we're staying in. This is going to be our little base as we explore BC and Alberta. The Rockies. But before we do that I've just got to show you how big the property is.

The Lost City in the Amazon rainforest - O'Hanlon's Heroes
In the eighth (and final) episode of the first season, O'Hanlon travels behind the explorer Percy Fawcett (1867 - 1925). Fawcett is a British explorer. At the request of the Bolivian government, he carried out land measurements in the border area of Bolivia and Brazil. He investigated the architecture of the Incas and went on an expedition to a so-called hidden city deep in the Amazon. He never returned.
We are about to travel to a pristine piece of nature: the Amazon rainforest. There, where Redmond lives up and where his hero Percy Fawcett in 1925 led him, along with his son, in search of a lost city in the middle of the jungle. The British Fawcett had read about this in an old manuscript. In it, a Portuguese explorer wrote in 1753 about a city with gold and silver mines in the middle of the Amazon, an El Dorado.
The details of the city are described in detail, unfortunately the exact location is not. Fawcett and his son searched but never returned from the expedition. There was not even a trace left of them. The irony of being an explorer who has not discovered anything. Or he has discovered something but has never been able to document it. Our curiosity has in any case been triggered by it and we are about to dive into the Amazon region.
