Dhulikhel is a Newari town with about 10,000 people on the east edges of Kathmandu Valley in Nepal. With stunning views of the valleys, it is one of the towns on the Kathmandu Valley Cultural Trail and is a small town which can easily be explored on foot.I spent under 24 hours exploring Dhulikhel. I did the Kopasi- Balthali- Namobuddha-Dhulikhel trek with Wanderlust Himalaya Adventures. It’s one of the best hikes near Kathmandu and it was such an awesome day of trekking in Nepal.

On this episode of Mapping Nepal, we travel to Balthali, a village to the east of Kathmandu. As a tourist destination, the village may not be as popular as Nagarkot and Dhulikhel, but it's got all the things that a peaceful getaway destination must have: a laid-back vibe, great mountain views, lush green hills, beautiful terraced fields, rivers, scenic hiking trails, etc. It's not long before travellers start flocking to this village.

Dhulikhel Zipline - A New Adventure in Kathmandu Valley
There's a good news for Adventure Enthusiasts now. Nepal's second zipline and first ever Super Man (Iron Man) is now here in Dhulikhel. We were fortunate to be invited to this place before the launch and what an experience we had.
After doing all the three types of zip line, Normal Zipline, Superman Zipline and Couple Zipline, we highly recommend every travel and adventure enthusiasts do give it a try.

How to Get There
Take a bus/public vehicle from Kathmandu to Dhulikhel or if you own your private vehicle, follow the Araniko Highway from Dhulikhel. Around five-ten minutes drive, you'll reach the starting point of the Zipline.

Top 10 hiking trails in the Kathmandu valley is based on my own experience during the hiking around Kathmandu valley. I have placed the number one hiking destination is Shivapuri peak (2,732m) which is one of the highest hills in Kathmandu valley, the hike worthwhile because it offers splendid mountain views, wide range of Kathmandu valley view, it is historically spiritual place as well. Although other places in Kathmandu also offer you amazing view from different angles, if you have a free day and would like to go with nature please get some idea from my video, you can do anyone of them whichever you have accessible. All the hiking destination in Kathmandu is less risk and safe places to do hike although i would recommend to do with groups, with the friends and family the fun will be double.
